Jets will win enough game to get themselves out one more time. This is a Jets specialty. But this year team looks very dysfunctional. Wouldn't surprise me if we end up with a Top 3 pick. Our luck though. 2026 QB class seems underwhelming so far.
it’s been the jets all along has nothing to do with the quarterbacks, jets have drafted 2 starters in the league and set them back 5 years, see darnold and geno smith as proof.
You inspired me to do something I have been thinking about: Comparing Glenn's first 4 games against Campbell's first 4 games. 2025 Jets 90 Points Scored 120 Points Allowed -30 Point Diff 1,219 Total Yards Offense 1,321 Total Yards Allowed -102 Yard Diff 7 Turnovers 0 Takeaways 32 Penalties 291 Penalty Yards 2021 Lions 81 Points Scored 119 Points Allowed -38 Point Diff 1,410 Total Yards Offense 1,524 Total Yards Allowed -115 Yard Diff 5 Turnovers 4 Takeaways ~28 Penalties* ~199 Penalty Yards* *I could only find penalty records for the whole year or by player, not by game so I just divided them by the # of games and multiplied by 4. It isn't a perfect solution, but you get the idea. No conclusion on my end, just something to look at that I haven't seen from anybody else.
Yes from those stats the teams look very similar But that doesn’t necessarily mean we are on the same trajectory…one big difference is that they had a viable QB in Goff…a former first overall pick who had been to a Super Bowl and was coached by a great offensive coach in McVay. We are far from that. So who knows.
100%. I'm sure someone could pull similar stats from the first 4 games of a rebuild that went nowhere at all.
Which of those became a champion after leaving the Jets? None. And have you forgotten about all the rest? Like, most recently, Zach Wilson - he's still in the league, well, sort of.
It doesn’t speak to championships it speaks to the Jets inability to draft and develop a QB who is capable of sustaining a high level of play over the course of their career with the team. Those guys playing well with different teams after escaping the Jets is just more proof when we already have an abundance of it, whether they win Super Bowls or not. There are maybe 5-10 Super Bowl winners that did it with a QB they didn’t draft. 2 of the guys that did that were Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. There are maybe 2 or 3 complete anomalies where the SB winning QB was a free agent acquisition that didn’t have a good career. All but 2 seasons where the Jets even made the playoffs were with QB’s they drafted under center. Johnson is the biggest hurdle to the Jets having any kind of success because he does nothing but hire and reward the wrong people. They’ll never draft and develop an elite QB, the key to winning Super Bowls, until he hires someone who’s capable of overcoming his own ineptitude.
Hey! Don't tell me about it - I didn't name those names; I responded to the guy who thought they were good examples.
Saints beat the Giants for double the failure in New York. Thanks to SOS we edge out the Titans for first place.
They will then trade the number one pick for a boatload of picks. Then the qb we pass on goes on to be a hall of famer
So the Jets didn’t didn’t even make it out of the first month of the season in playoff contention. “The Cowboys' victory gave coach Brian Schottenheimer a win over the team for which he was the offensive coordinator from 2006-11. It also kept the Jets (0-5) winless under Aaron Glenn, who's the first coach in franchise history to begin his tenure with five losses. It's New York's fourth 0-5 start and first since starting 0-13 in 2020 under Adam Gase”. Fire everyone.
His last name is Manning and he looks the part of franchise QB. It's important not to overthink overanalyze things. He comes from a family of champion NFL QBs. Arch Manning is there for the Jets they should take him.
