I am pretty sure I read that the lowest number of takeaways at this point of the season in NFL history was 5 and the Jets are sat on 1 so I will be amazed if they don't break the record. Just had a look at the stats - NY Jets turnover differential is currently -13 and the worst in the NFL - fortunately for them the team has actually thrown very few interceptions - just 5 all season and only a handful of teams have thrown fewer (the Vikings have thrown 15 ints and 3 teams are on 13!). They are though tied with the Seahawks for coughing up the most fumbles with 9 still there are nine teams that have given the ball away more than the Jets - the problem is they have all achieved more takeaways - especially interceptions - to balance it out more.
