Saw "Crime 101" yesterday. Not bad at all as a afternoon matinee. Not winning any awards though. Just a good time killer on a dull winter afternoon.
Ok, Project Hail Mary, FUCK yeah! One of the best movies I've seen in a few years. It's worth the cinematic watch if you can swing the ridiculous ticket/popcorn prices at the theater these days.
I thought it was extremely mid, but enjoyable enough. Classic mindless movie. I'm surprised it didn't go straight to digital as that is exactly the type of movie that does.
Probably due to the cast. A couple decent sized names in there. Probably the most important "message" in that was about how much nuance goes into just about anything we do. My problem with the straight to digital is they flippin' charge for it, for months! STILL waiting for SISU2 to go "free." It's been $5.99 forever! Hey, I'm cheap! These are cheap times...especially when your (my) power bill comes in at close to $1,000 a month.
Saw it today. It was ok. An early spring/summer time killer. They went light on the CGI and the plot was predictable. Again, tailor made for Amazon Prime or Netflix. They could have shaved almost an hour off of the runtime though. Some parts were pretty dull.
I went to watch the Super Mario Galaxy movie yesterday. I liked it. I liked it more than part 1 and I liked part 1. I had finished watching the first Mario movie the day before. I recommend watching part 1 before watching Galaxy there are a couple of things one will miss or not understand. I'll be buying this one in 4k when it's released.
I've thought about getting the AMC stubbs package but I just don't see myself watching that many movies plus I have a difficult time watching movies in one sitting usually I watch in bits and pieces 20 minutes here, 15 minutes another day, a half hour another day etc. until it's done. But yeah man I've looked at the premium package they offer for someone that is a movie buff it's a tremendous value.
We do the Regal package. We end up using the benefits and points for concessions mostly. We have a severely handicap son and our “entertainment” is mostly quick things, like movies, so we go often. We got our tickets for the new Mummy so I’ll report on it next week.
