What do you guys think of our Director of Player Personnel Terry Bradway...not GM Terry Bradway.

Do you think he will have a positive role in the upcoming draft...negative...too soon to decide?

I'm glad he's gone as our GM but I think he is pretty good at evaluating talent. He's just not good at running a franchise and actually having to be the guy to decide on who to sign and who to let go. If the current front office didn't think he was worthy of the job then they wouldn't let him do it.

He's only done last years draft and it does take a few years to evaluate a draft but it seems he hit some home runs. Lets see how he does this time around before we rate him.

It's hard to evaluate him as a director of player Personnel but as a GM he did a very good job for us. He has a great reputation as a scout and we did have a great draft last yera but I think most of that credit has to go to Tannenbaum since we don't know exactly what input a guy like TB or the other scouts have.

Bradway is the Isiah Thomas of the Jets' front office. He is great at identifying talent but has no clue when to take them or how much to pay them.

Isiah destoyed the Knicks that is hardly a fair comparison. Isiah did not know who to pick or how much to pay them. I do believe that Bradways selctions were a hell of a lot better if a comparison can actually be made. However Bradway di have more picks...

Buttway is horrible. We need to get him out of this organization.

I thought he was an ok GM. I thought he brought in some good talent. I think if he was working with EM rather than HE he would have looked better. A coach's wants and their ability to develop talent that a GM brings them reflects a great deal on the GM. I think HE didn't help TB in this regard. I always said that TBs biggest mistake was the first pick he made, HE. With that said so far MT has shown to be an upgrade over TB.

All reasons why I think he's great at evaluating talent. However, his trading ability and contract negotiating skills can probably be judged as being suspect at best. I'm happy with him as our head scout, but I didn't very much like him in total control of our franchise, as a good amount of retarded moves (or non-moves) were made in the meantime.

And he did all that from Atlantic City. Amazing. Imagine what he could have done if he cared?

    2005 versus 2006 draft

I just looked at the 2005 versus 2006 draft. With Tannenbaum at the helm we did much better.

    2005:

2nd round pick Justin Miller was a good pick at #57. But, remember we gave up our #1 in the stupid trade for Doug Jolley trade, and then took our esteemed Kicker in the #47 hole. We passed on Heath Miller at #23 with our #1 pick, and could have had Kahlif Barnes at RT at #47 and Marion Barber at #88.

Kerry Rhodes may be an all time great pick at #124 (4th round) that has HOF potential. Nothing else worked...

    2006:

It's still early, but Mangold is a potential annual Pro Bowler at C at #29. D'Brick is talented, but needs to step it up this year. Clemens at #49 is wait and see...but the trade with Washington that got us an extra #2 this year was a steal. #4 picks were Brad Smith and Leon Washington - excellent...and #6 Drew Coleman showed flashes

That "stupid" trade for Jolley got us some guy named Kerry Rhodes. The Jolley trade was an excellent trade, Jolley himself was irrelevant but we still got the 2 guys we were targeting(Miller & Nugent) and got extra picks which allowed us to take Rhodes.

We didn't "give up our#1", we simply moved back about 20 slots or so and acquired extra picks and our K was great last year if you didn't notice.

In my opinion, his legacy will be as a good talent evaluater but a bad decision maker. I can handle BRadway behind the scenes giving his best judgement, but I feel much more confidant with Tanny pulling the trigger.

 you cherry-picked what you thought were his good moves. Guess what? Not all of those were actually wise.

I didn't like Bradway much as a GM, but it could've been worse. He's better suited to be a strict talent evaluator.
