Lately there have been a steady inflow of young runners in the league and it has led to, in my opinion, the most crowded backfields in recent history. One time starters and promising young prospects are relegated to part time duty when only a few years ago they would have had every opportunity to break out and play full time. By my count there are going to be 13 teams with a running back by committee (ATL, BUF, CAR, DAL, DEN, DET, GB, HOU, JAC, MIN, NYG, NO, TEN). Good for real football but terrible for fantasy. It is making it increasingly easy to fill out the traditional two starting running back slots because there is around 45 running backs who will get a significant amount of carries, but your average production is going to drop significantly. Not really sure how to play this, especially with those second and third round picks or keeper leagues.

This pisses me off beyond belief, since I'm a firm believer in RB-RB-WR-WR-WR-RB.

There's virtually no chance of getting an NFL "starting" running back as your 3rd RB in fantasy making it that much more important to get 2 good runners early, since your 3rd RB will likely only be used during byes.

The RBBC also puts increased importance on fantasy WRs, which there is becoming an increasingly less amount of studs. There are only a few WRs that seperate themselves from the pack.

All in all, I agree with you, the RBBC is terrible for fantasy

This has been the case for a long time in FF. Then to make it worse you may have a guy that gets you 1600 yds between the 5s only to have some other guy come in on the goal line to get the score. You never know who to play at RB anymore unless you are lucky enough to get that one guy they don't take out like Tomlinson.

BUF - Marshawn Lynch over Anthony Thomas - Pedigree
ATL - Jerious Norwood over Warrick Dunn - Injury Concerns, new coaching
CAR - DeAngelo Williams over DeShaun Foster - Injury issues and running style
DAL - Julius Jones over Marion Barber - New coach
DEN - Mike Bell over Travis Henry - better value for your pick, Bell still a Shanny fave
DET - Kevin Jones over Tatum Bell - Better all around, but Tatum would be good value
GB - Brandon Jackson over Vernand Morency - Morency? More like Borency...
HOU - Ahman Green over Ron Dayne - they'll beat the dead horse
JAC - Maurice Jones-Drew over Fred Taylor - Youth and energy
MIN - Adrian Peterson over Chester Taylor - pedigree
NO - Reggie Bush over Deuce McAllister - Shifting focus, but not by as much as people think
NYG - Brandon Jacobs over Reuban Droughns - if he doesn't carry the most, he will still score the most
TEN - LenDale White over Chris Brown/Henry - Just a hunch
