Julian Peterson = Linebacker. John Abraham = Defensive End. Assuming the Seahawks can still afford him, which it seems they can, theres zero reason why the signing of a linebacker would preclude the team from signing a defensive end. And Im well aware of the fact that Peterson is a good pass rusher, that doesnt change the fact that he plays a different position.

i cant believe they spent that on an injury prone guy who had really no one else throwing money like that at him, then again the money is no big deal to allen, but still them letting hutchinson go makes complete sense, he didn't want to be there, and was pissed that walter jones restructured his contract so they could match, so they decided not to which is good, i dont know how well it wouldve went if they did and hutch and jones had to play next to each other after that (there was a big rift, but they let him go so no harm)
