Honestly I don't think Baltimore is that good and Im hoping for wins the next 3 weeks, and then against NY, another against Buffalo and Washington, heading into the bye week at 6-3:jets:

It was one game people, the Pats are possibly the best team in the NFL but the season is not over yet

I think thats the only thing to actually be pissed off about. The Patriots really looked fantastic yesterday. I spent all offseason hoping that Randy Moss wasn't still the same fantastic player he was with Minnesota. Why it is that 31 other NFL teams were unwilling to take this guy is beyond me, because its fairly obvious that hes still one of the best in the business. Youd think any team in the NFL, and especially in the AFC East, would have been willing to give up a third rounder just to keep Moss away from New England. As much as the hype was overdone, the Patriots really looked like the team to beat yesterday.

Randy Moss stated that he would only accept a trade to one team. The Patriots. And he took a huge paycut to do so. He wasn't going to Buffalo or any other AFC East team. He wanted to be a Patriot.

Just saw Joe Staley get schooled on a speed rush to the outside. It looked just like Brick, except on the right side.

Yup, gotta believe. If the d-line and o-line plays better, this team can do big things they have alot of talent. I stills stand by my 12-4 prediction. If the jets play their cards right, I could see them as good as 7-2 at the bye. They can beat baltimore, the dolphins will go down, they will finally sweep the bills this yr and then all the other's up to the bye (bengals, eagles, redskins) are really tossups but I can definitely see the jets winning 2/3. The schedule really isn't that tough, the toughest game into the bye wk is either the bengals or the ravens, both who are beatable.

Guys, last year we didn't have any rush offense, our run defense was poor and our pass rush was marginal. Yesterday, our rush offense stunk, our run defense was marginally better, and our pass rush, well, there was no pass rush. Looks like K Coleman was a nice pick up, Revis looks solid, Pennington looked good as did the receivers. But other than that:

-Dyson can't stay healthy and will be 29 next year. Everyone else is not good (see Barrett) we need at least 2 corners
-D-line has not depth and D-Rob is not a fit for 3-4, Ellis is alright, but he's 29, in summary, we need 3 more guys
-Linebackers: Vilma just isn't the playmaker he was, Barton will be 30 next year, Harris looks like he'll be a fit. We need at least two new backers moving forward
-Leon Washington is the real deal but not an every down back, Thomas Jones is at most a two year solution given his age, we need 1 feature running back
-Offensive Line, GO MANGOLD! Who knows about Bender, D-Brick still needs to work, but let's assume he starts playing at a higher level, we still need two guards and a Right Tackle, that's 3 more players.
-Receivers looks good, but Coles is 29 and can't take too much more Penny just in time pass pounding. We probably need one more impact receiver.

So, by my count, we need 12 quality players moving forward, and they'll all need time to gel. I'm sorry, but we're not building toward anything, we're RE-building....again, story of the Jets...

Hehe, its true what they say, misery loves company. I'll admit that after our opening day loss I knew coming here so many guys would be all doom n gloom over our season. Now that I have got it out of my system its time to realize that we didn't match up well with the best team in football, but we don't play teams of that caliber every week. It's a marathon not a sprint, folks.

I will pray that Chad P can play on his bum ankle....his play was textbook against a top tier defense. I'm also excited about the potential of our secondary with Eric Smith, Revis and Rhodes. I'm looking forward to a good game vs. the ravens, but with P gone my hopes will be much lower.

If our lines can get there act together . . . we can have a very competitive season. I know it looks bleak but heh, stranger things have happened right?

I predict a 15-1 season for the Jets. Unless of course, Clemens starts, then I'll go back to my 0-1-15 prediction.

Thought this deserved a bump :)

Yes, we are 0-2, but we looked good coming back yesterday and Jerricho and Kellen looked good.

This season isn't over and I guarantee we will beat Miami this week!

I'm not too worried yet. I can still see us being a borderline playoff team.

If we lose this week though, this thread should be locked.

The jets should have 4 very winnable games coming up against all winless teams. 4-2 in 4 wks, GO JETS.
