Hope you enjoy him as much when he is wearing a towel around his neck on the sideline with his first Falcon Injury. IMO he could have had 16 sacks this year and many more stops in the running game, but he was to concerned with just proving he can play 16 games. Dont you guys play on a turf also? Uhoh. I DO NOT wish this on him, just the way it is. Thanks for the pick, pcpc.

Right. McKay was the only party involved. And the Jets caved, too, right? You know what, you Falcons fans really are a piece of work. And there is no reason this couldn't have gone in one of the exisiting threads. Please, leave and never come back.

    Good for you.
When abe gets hurt as he usually does and when abe refuses to play with minor hurts and when abe gets a DWI, we will see how happy you are having ABE.

We got our first, and the Falcsons still had to give up theirs. McKay did not get the deal he was hoping for. But all parties made out well. Good deal all around.

they gave up 2 first round picks--theirs and Denver's. I am confused--they got Abraham and a few later round picks? They lost the no 15 pick in the draft. Big deal. Is my math bad or did they trade the 15 for Abe and a couple of later round picks? Yesterday they would not offer us the 15--they offered a 47. Today they have squandered it--they have no first rounder.
Can someone tell me why Atlanta is not an ass?

Look dude. I don't mean no disrespect to the Jet Fans. You guys might try to talk about me, my team and my city but it don't matter. I wish you guys all the luck this year and hopefully we'll see ya'll in the Super Bowl. I'll leave and never come back if you like but to be honest.........I don't need to come back. You guys are welcome on our board anytime to talk a lil' football.

...actually some of us are more than happy with the outcome. We had a player that didn't want to be with the team and an organization that didn't want him to be part of the team and they were able to move him not only out of the division, but out of the conference. In return we get a first round pick for him. Oh by the way Atl fans, if you somehow make the playoffs, better get used to your new 'team leader' not playing. Abe is so classic, an immature, selfish, one dimensional player with a drinking problem is now somebody else's problem...

they got extra picks from the broncos that we didnt want to give up. the jets FO obviously had their eyes on some people they liked and would try to get in the later rounds. dont get me wrong, i'd rather have the #15 overall, but atlanta did what was best for their team, nothing more, nothing less.

It's kind of sad seeing how hyped up these falcon fans are for abraham. If he's on the field he's great, but that's not too often. He's a liability in the running game -- always was. He does make game changing plays now and again, but realistically, my thoughts are now that he's paid, the remainder of his career is going to be so so. That's just my humble little, tiny, miniscule opinion.
