QB - Chad Pennington if healthy, if not, Ramsey(not a rookie even if we draft Cutler)
    RB - Blaylock/Martin
    FB - BJ Askew
    LT - D'Brickashaw Ferguson
    RT - John Runyan(or Jones)
C - Mangold, but if he is gone, Greg Eslinger
    LG -Max-Jean Gilles
    LB - Thomas Howard
LCB -Justin Miller (I think he can do it)
    DT - Gabe Watson

Guys we already have I put on there because technically even though they are already on the team, those positions are still up in the air.

IF we play 3-4 then we will need more than one lb.

I also think Justin Miller can do it.

Where do you see us drafting MJG if we draft MAngold?

Good point, I never thought about that. But I think it is possible. Mangold would still be there at #29, and there's an off chance Gilles will be there in round 2. I just realised this means aour first 3 picks would be used on )-lineman end even though I wouldn't hate that, its pretty damn unlikely that it would happen...

QB - Chad Pennington (his last opportunity is this year)
RB - Houston/Martin combination. We will mix them in and won't be stubborn like Herm
    FB - Askew
LT - Adrian Jones (more than adequate pass protector, near equal with D'Brick in run blocking)
C - Mike Degory or Marvin Phillips
OLB - Manny Lawson (trade down)
SILB - Victor Hobson (Run stuffer)
    OLB - Barton
    FS - Rhodes
SS - Washington AND Coleman (shared time.. Rashard Washington is a better athlete than Coleman).

Theres no way Thomas Howard will fall past the Jaguars at 28, also why does everyone forget about Cedric Houston IMO he can be a solid back he has great size moves and from what i saw good speed. By the way i also think Miller can do it!!!!

I agree with this EXCEPT i think we should keep kendall at left guard, and i dont think we'll spend our 2nd round pick on watson. We signed von oelhoeffen and they'll probably get a linebacker with their second round pick.

Don't most rankings have Howard as like the #6 LB in the draft? I doubt he'd go in round 1, and if he does then we could take one of the LBs ranked near him.

Holes?? Holes you say... the entire roster outside the punter is a big hole right now. If not a hole, at the very minimum, a GIANT Question mark.

The biggest glaring needs (holes if you will) as of 3/22/06

    RB - Any of the following D.Williams / L White / A Janaai (Spelling)
C - well, our Practice Squad guy is getting some press (LOL) but really Mangold fits here if we can pull it off
Guard - Hit the FA Market... Larry Allen is a F/A
RT - Runyon would be a great stop gap
DL/NT - Someone Send Sam Adams a hot dog and contract offer...
CB - we need another CB... Never can have enough good CB's on the roster
LB (depth and a 4th LB that can start) - Well, it seems we are headed for the 3-4 Defense, so we need a LB that can Rush the passer and drop into Coverage

Holes... we got them. Plugs... not enough of them this year, but we've got a good start to work with.

    Ellis

Heres what I'd like to see......

QB: I'd like to see Ramsey win the job because I want a QB with an arm.
RB: CMart/Houston with Blaylock as a 3rd down option
    LT: Jones
    C: Mangold
    RT:Runyon
4th 'backer? How about AJ Hawk with #4?
    DT Sam Adams, maybe......

just don't buy jones as an lT--jets said he did a good job last year--well, it was their idea to move him there so what are they gonna say. i don't think he was anything special. i think he is a little light. i want the jets OL to be huge. I want 90% third and one conversion. that is another reason i was disappointed in their keeping kendall. you need big guards.
