Wanted to bump this for one reason..... Did anyone see the Browns' Cribbs to Winslow TD today? THAT is the well-coached, well-designed, proper way to run that trick play that I was complaining about when I made this thread.... Anderson walked away from the center, and CLEARLY stopped walking while facing the sideline, which makes him SET as a back in the backfield.... And therefore is a legal play... This opposed to our version, which violates the NFL's procedural rules, and people here seemed to think was the way everyone did it....
I saw it. I also liked that the Browns got screwed on a force out as time expired. Because I like the Cardinals, this almost made up for the Chris Baker play.
Ha, that made me smile too... Not because I have anything against the Browns, or for the Cards, but because karma is a bitch
I felt the same way. Things have a way of coming around. When do they come around to the Pats, by the way????
40 years of futility, starting right about the time we make our next Super Bowl run... I'm hoping my grandchildren will be around to witness it
Did they throw a flag in that game against us? Get over it already. That happened how many weeks ago? And the Browns probably did it this way because it was talked about earlier in the season by the head of the NFL officials, after we had already done it, and another team as well (I don't remember that team atm).
Good call KS.... The reason I care about poor coaching is because we're losing.... That's why I bumped this thread after a blowout win.... I'm sure the Browns' coaches sat around watching NFL Network, and then decided to draw up this play.... Right... I don't care if it was called when we ran it or not, designing a play like that, which is used as a trick play (often in 3rd and short situations to pick up the 1st down) that COULD result in a 5 yard loss simply because of DESIGN, is POOR coaching.... I don't know why you're so opposed to admitting to the fact that our CS makes many, many mistakes...
And I don't know why you're obsessed with one play that happened over a month ago. Let it go already. And other teams have used a similar play that have not gotten caught. Also, it's entirely possible that Chad was supposed to stop and set himself, but didn't. Unless you were in the room when the play was called up, you have no idea whose fault it was. There's plenty of other things to bitch about with this team, but to focus on one single play from over a month ago is just assinine. We won the game this week and you still felt the need to bump this thread. What's wrong, couldn't find anything to bitch about in our 40-13 win so you decided to bump this? Move on already.
