Does anyone else want to see this kid get a shot at some playing time ?
He can't possibly be that much of a drop off in pass protection from Clarke. And if he is as good a run blocker as he is reported to be, he could just be what is needed to spring Jones.

LG, RT, whatever, let's see if he's part of the future here.

yeah, i?d love to see him at LG. Clarke seems to get worse every Week.

That play where he pulled, and stopped right in the gap without blocking anyone, and leon(or was it Jones) ran into him....

we did that already... bender poo pooed all over the place against the pats. he clearly cannot pass block at this level. road grade maybe, but he is dangerous to have in with clemens back there... i dont want him hurt!

I thought Clarke's arms were so big they compensated for his lack of talent...

Are you sure he poo pooed all over the place against NE? or was he declared inactive week 1 vs NE?

Yes I think he should get a shot, though I think he should get some time at RT, he seems like a natural RT and a perfect compliment to Brick at LT..

I believe it was the preseason game against either the Giants or Eagles. I don't think he has had much if any significant regular season action.

I don't think Bender has seen any non-ST snaps during the regular season. I'd also like to see him at RT or LG. Clearly he was drafted to play one of those two positions, and he can't be any worse than Clement or Clarke.

my unprofessional opinion is that Bender is worse than expected hence he doesn't even sniff an offensive play even when the media/fans spout that he's going to get some PT.

If he was good at anything, he'd probably be playing considering how aweful the line is. he is't playing on o, so i just assume he's no better than Marko Cavka.

    just my 2 schekles.

Surely with this season over, now is the time to give all the backup players a shot - including Bender - to see if they are worth keeping before next year's big clearout!
