Favre Leaning Toward Returning for Another Season
    By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Brett Favre is leaning toward returning for another season with the Green Bay Packers, according to comments he made to his hometown newspaper.

In an article posted on the Web site of The Sun Herald of Biloxi, Miss., on Thursday, Favre said he was not approaching Saturday?s playoff game against Seattle as if it would be his final game in Green Bay. He seemed more optimistic about returning than in years past.

?For the first time in three years, I haven?t thought this could be my last game,? Favre told the newspaper. ?I would like to continue longer.?

Favre has taken weeks and even months to make his decision after recent seasons. He teared up on television at the end of last season, leading many to believe he was set on retiring.

Good for him. I hope he plays until he needs a hoveround to avoid pressure.

Does this really need a story? I knew 6 weeks ago that he is coming back and he didn't even say anything.

Pretty sure he'd retire if they won the Superbowl. I would. Even if I were 28.

Awesome, another year of John Madden calling Favre a "special guy" for being reckless and making dumb throws that look awesome 1/10 times and get picked off the other 9.

Haha! It's like Punxsatawney Phil on Ground Hog day. Every postseason all the media assemble in Green Bay to watch the grizzled old veteran QB emerge from his locker to see if he still has the will and ambition to play with the youngster's.

    :breakdance:

With a season like this one... I think the only way he doesn't come back next year is 1) He wins the Super Bowl 2) He dies from a tragic hunting accident in the offseason.

I'll take Favre's tired old ass over anyone we have on the roster...
