Assuming Vilma and Hobson are gone, what do think our starting 4 LB'rs will look like:

    OLB/DE: B. Thomas / Bowens
    ILB: Harris
    ILB: Barton(?)
    OLB/DE: ??? (F/A or Draft)

Who are our backups? Murrell, Trusnik, ????....

i hope we get a hand on Kawika Mitchell

    OLB: B.Thomas/Bowens
    ILB: Harris / Barton
    ILB: Mitchell /Barton
    OLB: 1st or 2nd round pick /Barton

i think Kassel is a Captain on ST, so i expect him to be back. Then sign 1-2 carrer backups for depth and the LB-Corps looks good.

Rich Cimini is today's NY Daily News says "The Jets quietly re-signed Brad Kassell to a 3 year contract.....Also states that the NYJ and Kerry Rhodes are FAR apart in their negotiating a long-term deal...

Oh great. This is what we want to hear on the eve of FA. Kerry Rhodes should be done and dusted without any "Kendallgate".

True I think Rhodes needs to be locked up long term, but it wouldnt surprise me if they make no progress at all, if they break out the Franchise tag next offseason to keep him around until they get a long-term deal done...

I like how in that piece Cimini has his mock draft:
Sixth Pick: Cowboys - Darren McFadden (Trade with Jets)

I would love if we traded back.

If Kassell is here for ST, fine, but I don't ever want to see him in the defensive formation again. He is putrid. If your assumption is correct, I would have to say at this point our line up is Bowen and Thomas on the outside and still Barton and harris on the inside. Having seen very little of either play, I would have to say I'd prefer Murrell, Trusnik to Kassell and Chatham for depth. They can't be worst. I think looking at this line up we need 3-4 LBs. Harris is obvious and I think Bowen is servicable. If Thomas can play like two years ago instead of last year he can have a role, but that's a big if.

    Those LBers look good?

The only bright spot a see there is Harris.

I would take Hobson back over Mitchell. and I would rather keep Vilma than have Mitchell.

This thread really has no right to exist.

We're days away from FA and hours away from any of the DE and LB prospects working out.

I'm as sarcastic as the next person. Hell, I love sarcasm! Guess I just failed to see it here. Maybe you could explain it.

Genius. Thanks for letting us know all we have is Harris & Thomas (sarcasm). To bad I inquired as to who you think (opinion) will be the starters. so, once the season ends, according to you there is no discussing the future or OPINIONS on the future because "JetsLookingforDbag" says so. This is a forum for discussion. I fail to see how you don't comprehend that when you enter any forum, people will bring up topics like "trades, draft, players, next season etc. etc.". If it's not par to the "Jets..Dware" status quo of forum topics, then why bother spamming others threads. Ironic, your post really didn't need to exist.
