i was a Yanks fan at that game, even though we lost I couldn't help but appreciate the quality of game I got to see for my ticket price. I was in 3rd deck on the RF railing, I knew as soon as Wright hit it that Damon wouldn't get it, I took that chance to make a quick path for the trains where I was greeted by Mets fans
My favorite Mo Vaughn as a Met moment was when he legged out a check swing blooper down the line in the 9th against...shit...I don't remember. But it was amazing to see fatty Mo Vaughn actually beat out the throw.
I saw my first Yankee game at Shea with the cub scouts in the 70s when they were renovating the Stadium. They were really bad. I saw the Who in 83 or 84. They probably weren't much better.
