 hysterical. Fuck Jeaux....were you the dumb kid in the 3rd grade that couldn't spell "dog" in the spelling bee?
So what Vernon gholston(top 6) chances of winning DROY. So what the guy having a hard time making the transition to LB( I thought he played a similiar position at Ohio ST- What gives with that.)
As entertaining as the bet would be, I'm not in the business of making bets on players not on the Jets.
Yeah do nothing waste of roster space if he was in green, and now All-Pro now that he has silver and black. Just shut up Jeaux. Go adopt one of McFadden's illegitimate children if you like him so much.
hey jeaux i'm still waiting if you'll accept my bet that the raiders go 12 - 4. please dont bring up the jets and their record. you only bet on sure things and so do i. i'm not sure that the jets will go above .500, but i am sure the raiders won't go 12-4. you seem sure that the raiders will go 12-4 so lets bet on it.
Actually Vernon Gholston was a DE in college and when they did have him in a standup stance, it was along the line of scrimmage so he could see a play develop a little better and get to the QB or RB quicker. A far cry from a 3/4 hybrid linebacker such as Ware and Merriman...the kinds of guys he will eventually be compared too. Yes...being a top 10 pick pretty much puts you in rookie of the year talks, but it also depends on what kind of philosophy and schemes the teams will deploy and the kind of personnel the team employs. We have 2 outside linebackers ahead of Gholston so it allows him to sit back and watch and learn a little more. he will come in on passing downs and limited reps only to increase his football knowledge. D-mac, as you say, will be the legitimate back so he obviously has many more chances to show off his talent with the crappy Raider franchise. crappy meaning talent...not the organization itself...just to clarify. If D-mac fails, it looks a lot worse then if Gholston fails.
Yes there is, but Jeaux can't talk to clearly while he's giving them thier reward. He'll get back to you later on the specifics.
Vikings firmly in Jackson's corner By John Clayton ESPN.com (Archive) Updated: August 6, 2008 Comment Email Print Kirby Lee/US Presswire Raiders rookie RB Darren McFadden has impressed many onlookers, including John Clayton. Darren McFadden was widely regarded as the best athlete in the 2008 draft. After watching him dart around the Raiders' practice field in Napa, Calif., Tuesday, I have no doubt the scouting report is true. McFadden is the real deal. He catches the ball on screens and passes in the flat better than anticipated. His ability to make inside zone runs is electrifying. On a Raiders team that has some pretty good athletes, McFadden is clearly the star. Any questions? Have a question for John Clayton? Connect with him here. Mailbag At minicamp, Raiders coaches said they had modest expectations for McFadden as a rookie. They planned to make Justin Fargas the workhorse back. Things have changed. Fargas is still the starter, but McFadden is too talented to bring along slowly. He's a treasure.
way to man up and respond to me jeaux. but i guess you're not even stupid enough to bet on the raiders going 12 and 4.
Jeaux, you also didn't reply to my comment about how you trashed Dmac before the draft and were singing the praises of gholston. "mcfadden won't help you beat the patriots" You are truly a pussy.
Well if you have read this board alot, you know how many times i been wrong. I Loved gholston before the draft, and Jets FO right there should have known to pass on him. After seeing gholston last night, I think his face is on a Milk carton. (missing) Wow not only did raiders get a stud Rb, but they got a better pass rusher than gholston in Trevor scott in the sixth round. Let me break it down for you at the time Raiders were in need of a pass rusher opposite Burgess(why I wanted gholston) Raiders not only signed alot of pass rushers (Like Kablimba Edwards- Milliard has great record developing these kind of speed rushers, Greg Spires Drafted and signed some vere intresting speed rushers. (Like Trevor Scott, Derrick Gray, and Greyson Gunheim) Not to mention Gholston Teammate at Ohio ST Jay Richardson(2007 rookie) developed some serious pass rush skills this offseason, to go wityh his run stuffin ability. Last Point Raiders have so much faith in their coverage, that they are going to be blitzing the fastest LB in football today. Thomas Howard. If that true look for Howard to have 10 plus sacks. NOw why Mcfadden when your RBs weren't the problem. Raiders wanted to give their franchise Qb Jamarcus russell as many playmakers as possible. Nothing helps a franchise QB more to have a weapon like Mcfadden. Dump offs have a chance to go a very long way. Also when you have a 22/23 franchise QB in Russell , a 22 stud TE In Zach miller, a 24 FB Lorenzo Neal Clone in Oren O'neal. NOw you add a 20 year old Potential franchise RB iN D Mcfadden . You suddenly have the makling of an explosive unit. That going to only get better in time.
