Wont it kinda be less exciting cause favre helped us get there? In the years after we win (if we did) they will always show favre as a packer and hell be on highlights as a packer, it wont feel as good I dont think. Like when you see Namath you think of Jets Superbowl....
...when I see ANY player in a Jets' uni holding the Lombardi trophy, I won't give a shit who's on this team. I just want to see that happen.
i dont care if they show favre as a packer he is a packer for life and will be inducted as a packer all i care is the jets having 2 superbowls instead of one, and me being alive when it happens.
Of course we're going to win the Super Bowl, it's in the bag. Anything less and the trade is a failure. Afterwards, Favre retires again and we're adrift.
Then think about Thomas Jones running for 150 yds in the SB! I think it's kinda silly to think after 40 years that it won't be as good as with Namth. Especially since 75% of the Jets fans never saw him play. Since we are reaching here anyway... How about the Jets getting to the SB with Favre, and playing the Vikings with Chad Pennington at the helm?
