The crypt keeper was saying that Favre would rather retire than go to the Jets today around noon on ESPN radio. This was after reports came out that he was willing to play for the Jets. He's either misinformed or just hates the Jets.

I don't care either way, we just upgraded our offense tremendously.

He also came on ESPN and said that the Jets wouldn't have any interest in him when favre first pushed for a trade a few weeks ago... When everyone and their mother knew that of all teams we would have probably the most interest.

    He's an idiot.

I remember someone at that time told me not to believe what he says because he's always wrong, well he sure was this time.

Just because we can't win a division, we are a wildcard team that can't make it to an SB. Has he watched last years SB or SB XL? Old man is stupid.

Let haters hate. Then we can pull this shit up and laugh when we exceed anyone's expectations but our own.

Clayton accomplished his goal. He has you talking about his article. Way to play into his hands.

You'll see a few articles like this, because people like to be able to say "I told you so" if things go wrong.

Chances are this whole thing isn't going to work out, folks. He's a 39 year old QB with questionable heart for playing the game. mcCarthy didn't want him to play QB for the Pack after talking with him, saying he isn't really commited to playing.

But at least the Jets are now news-worthy, and they have a QB with the skills to play. Let's just enjoy that for what it is.

Hey guys, what did he say that got you upset? Brett Frave didn't want to come to the NYJ. That is the truth...at first but Woody sold him on the move. BF wanted the Vikings becuase he knows that team. He doesn't know squat about the Jets except we went 4-12 last year. He wants to be in the SB again. Woody and Tanny sold him that the Jets are set to win NOW.

The only problem I have is the past history of old QBs going to new teams.

who said he is not entitled to his opinion? we are talking about the quality of that opinion, and how it is based on bias, misinformation and outright lies. I don't even know how you can rationally come to the conclusion that anyone is trying to dispute his right to an opinion just because they are disputing his opinions and the obviously flawed cognitive abilities that form them.

Chris Mortenson also reported that Favre wasn't comfortable with New York, but was convinced by Woody and Mangini.

Favre called the Packers yesterday and told the Packers he wanted to go to Tampa because of his connection to Gruden, but the Packers, as they should looked after their own best interest.

So Clayton was telling the facts up until that point... but why would Favre feel he was playing for a wildcard or 2nd fiddle to Brady? Why wouldn't he feel he could lead this team far into the playoffs?

This part of the article is pure speculation on his part. I am no Favre fan (at this point in his career) but I seriously doubt he'd have accepted the trade unless he was sure he could make a difference and help lead this team.

This is false - I heard the mort report a few times. Favre was OK with going to the bucs or jets at the time of the radio broadcast I talked about based on the conversation with Tannenbaum and Co Tuesday night. It wasn't until late in the evening yesterday that he got on the Tampa kick cause it sounded safer to him.

He was either misinformed - very possible, or he was just making things up. I don't know which it was.
