August 8, 2008 Backup TE released from hospital Good news on the A.J. Schable front: The backup tight end, who suffered an apparent neck injury in a head-to-head collision last night against the Browns, has been released from the Cleveland Clinic, a hospital spokeswoman told the Daily News? Ian Begley. Schable was motionless for several minutes on the field after colliding with an unidentified Browns player on a kickoff return. He gave a thumbs up as he was taken off in a stretcher, and Eric Mangini said after the game that Schable had regained movement in his arms and legs. Godspeed, A.J.
Excellent news! That really made my day. I really hate to see any player hurt, and that even goes to the players I hate (Brady!). Cheers, AJ!
