Garrett Jones still on a tear, guy is crazy Why is Vincente Padilla starting again? Lannan is still ridiculous. The Nats have the potential to become a great rotation in the coming years.
Jays cough up a 3-0 lead....and blow a stellar outing by Marcum. Great way to start the season. *slits wrists*
Re: Official Baseball Games Other Thread (Non Mets/Yanks/Red Sox) This Cubs Braves game has been great to watch. Heyward hit a monster ball his first MLB at bat.
Greinke holds the Tigers to 1 run through 6, leaves with a 4-1 lead. Bullpen proceeds to give up 6 runs in the seventh inning.
Re: Official Baseball Games Other Thread (Non Mets/Yanks/Red Sox) Lincecum doin his thing. 2 Ks in first inning.
Re: Official Baseball Games Other Thread (Non Mets/Yanks/Red Sox) Fuckhead Morgan cannot say Lincecum.
wild game in Oakland. King Felix pitched well, the bullpen blew the lead and left it tied at 3, but Seattle won it in the 9th. also, Greinke pitched well, but KC's bullpen coughed up the game.
Got the Rays/O's opening up tonight. Baltimore got a bright future and a nice offense but can't argue against Tampa Bays line-up. Plus Shields is 2-0 in his opening day performances.
Exciting finish. Hope you enjoyed. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/gametracker/recap/MLB_20100406_BAL@TB?tag=ATLbox1727857;ATLalert1727857 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Carl Crawford drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the ninth inning to give the Tampa Bay Rays a 4-3 season-opening victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night. Adam Jones, Luke Scott and Matt Wieters homered for the Orioles, who were unable to put the game away because of a lack of timely hitting with runners in scoring position. Evan Longoria homered in the sixth for the Rays, who loaded the bases in the ninth against Baltimore's new closer, Michael Gonzalez, with a single, double and an intentional walk. Crawford lined a 1-0 pitch into right field, driving in the winning runs before a sellout crowd of 36,973 at Tropicana Field. Rafael Soriano (1-0) got the win, despite struggling to get through the top of the ninth for Tampa Bay.
Ian Kennedy went 5 innings giving up 6 hits 3 ER for an ERA of 5.40. But he also struck out 8 batters and didn't walk any, good for an FIP of 2.15. One game, and it was against the Padres, but I really did love this kid and didn't think he was given a chance. He could have been in the bullpen with Joba this year, but oh well. Here's a video: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7320487 Looks like he added a slider too...and that change looks filthy.
