Let’s just say the Jets finish last in the AFC East. That most likely gets us: Texans and Falcons at home and the Browns on the road for the non predetermined games. Playing the AFC West and NFC East, although sometimes hard to predict will most likely make this tougher than this year.
Was looking at this earlier today. Is the NFC south opponent based on division slotting? The other two opponents are so it looks like Houston + Cleveland
From what I can find, yes “Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season. The new 17th game is an additional game against a non-conference opponent from a division that the team is not scheduled to play. Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season.”
Good chance the Jets play on Thanksgiving next year assuming the league alternates the AFC team from Detroit to Dallas every other year. This past year it was Buffalo at Detroit and the Giants at Dallas. If they alternate, then Dallas would play an AFC team on Thanksgiving next year. Only two AFC teams play at Dallas in 2023. The Jets and the Pats.
That one could be weekend trip worthy. That new stadium looks awesome. Oh and with our new QB Derek Carr
What were his stats in those games? I'm asking because the Raiders have had notoriously bad defenses, so I want to make sure they lost because of him and not the defense.
Remember when we thought the 2022 schedule was a rough start followed by some winnable games? Good times.
Yes but i don’t think it really matters much. it’s probably safe to assume that only 4 games a year will be sub 37. Half of them at home for Carr. So 2 games A year with potential sub 37. Considering he’s been in the league for 8 years it’s 1 a year. It’s probably easier to adjust when you play in it and are around it consistently. Not really a stat that would shy me away from signing DC.
https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/der...how-effective-raiders-qb-subzero-temperatures Oh well... Since being selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Derek Carr has been the team's starting quarterback and has played in seven games in which the temperature was 36 degrees or lower. He has a 0-7 record in these games. He has never scored more than one touchdown or helped his team score more than 19 points in a single game. The Raiders have yet to score more than 17 points in any of those seven games. In his seven games played in temperatures below 37 degrees, Derek Carr has only ever tossed one touchdown in each on average, and he has passed for 222 yards only once.
