http://files.nfl-forecast.com/ based on AdvancedNFLStats simulations. Miami wins east followed by NE and Jets. All three make playoffs. Houston, Denver and Baltimore are 1,2,3 seeds. Computers have no anti-jet bias.
http://www.advancednflstats.com/2012/10/team-efficiency-rankings-week-7.html its because miami is 7th best rated team in league in "Team Efficiency Rankings". Miami could easily be 5-1. lost 2 OT games by FG.
Jets have no excuse for not getting a wildcard. The Bengals suck, the Chargers suck, no afc south team is a threat so the last spot will go to afc east assuming the steelers take the 5th.
When the Dolphins win the AFCE over the Pats I'll think that 3 AFCE playoff teams is possible. Until then, not possible.
This is sweet!!! if the Jets and NE are the 2 WC teams, we get to knock them bastards out even earlier than last time!!!!!!! woot woot!
This kind of reminds me of the the "projections" feature in Yahoo FF that insists my team will finish at 10-4 and tied for first. I'm 3-3 and there's almost literally no chance that happens.
Our best chance is for the Chargers to continue to drop off and one of the Steelers or Bengals (most likely Bengals) to drop off. Then we can definitely make the WC spot. Still we have to take care of things on our end first.
