I noted this in another thread, but the more I think about it, I think it merits its own discussion. The league requires 8 players be declared "Inactive" each week (leaving only 45 "Active"for each game). With 3 QBs on the roster, we would declare #3 inactive, as well as 7 position players. But with 4 QBs we will have 2 QBs inactive and only have to declare SIX "position" players inactive. Thus we will have one MORE position player available each week than if we had only 3 QBs. Does this make sense? or am I crazy?
4 QB's 49 Other Inactive 2 QB's 6 other guys Active 4-2 = 2 QB's 49-6 = 43 other ======================= 3 QB's 50 Other Inactive 1 QB's 7 other guys Active 3-1 = 2 QB's 50-7 = 43 other ======================= 43 = 43
^^ Exactly Considering that we have Brad Smith as a ICSH (In case shit happens) QB, we wouldn't dress 3 anyway.
Thanks for breaking down the numbers so clearly. I see now that my thread title was inaccurate b/c you're right...43=43! But I guess my point was that having 4 QBs on the roster doesn't hurt us as much as I originally thought. Granted it leaves us a smaller POOL of position players to choose from, but either way we can only have 43 non-QBs available on Sunday.
