Some of you guys are nuts. Did you watch the same game I did last night. The Jets came into Foxboro and played the Pats to a virtual standstill on their home field. I wrote on your game thread just BEFORE the McCourty Fumble, that regardless of how the game turned out the Jet as a team had won a victory. That they know know that they as a team they can overcome adversity and play competitively with anyone they will play in the future.

Your complaints on Sanchez are even more ludicrous. He had a fabulous game overall. Sure you can point to a couple of bad throws, but you can do that for every QB. Surely you can't blame him for the fumble that ended the game. He had no chance

Here's the thing about Sanchez. If you give him the time and he can set his feet, like the Jets did last night (mostly because the Pats refused to either blitz or even stunt or rush more than 4, but that's another rant for another board) Sanchez can be very effective.

I saw so hope for him if the Jets commit to improving the OL and adding some offensive weapons. But I cannot understand the hate he got after last night's game. In Boston most "experts" and media pukes thought he had a very good game.

If you want to complain there are certainly things to complain about. If I were a Jet fan I'd be outraged by the offensive play selection after the McCourty fumble. I'd be pissed about Hills constant drops. I'd cut Chad Schillens if there was ANYONE else to replace him.

There was a lot to complain about, just like there is in most games, win or lose. The sad fact (for Jet fans) is that the Pats made a few more plays than they did, but VERY few, and escaped with win.

When you lose 3 games by 4 points, more than few breaks don't go your way. In this game a few did, and the Pats won a close one. It is the way of the NFL, just look at the Miami win. That was a game the Jets had no business winning, but Miami gifted it to them. Last night they lost a game they just as easily could have won, and no one would have question it.

BOTTOM LINE - The Jets SHOULD be able to come away from this game more unified for the effort they showed and their effectiveness on the field....and where they might have questioned their ability as team, their confidence should be as high as its been all year.

we played awful. we were given a ton of chances to win, and blew everyone of them. we were downright AWFUL in several phases of the game. huge special teams error. offense turned it over 3 times, twice costing us points and once ending the game. the defense gave up game tying and game losing possesions, back to back. the coaching and play calling were awful.

im not sure what there is to take away thats positive, other then that the defense played pretty well.

Sanchez was ok. you have to factor in the pats pass defense is absolutely pathetic. i mean, russell wilson torched them last week. sanchez had wide open guys all game, not suprising he had big yardage. he still had 2 horrofic unexcuseable turnovers. which in a close game cant happen.

we should have won, we got a gift muffed kick return. and still lost. if anything this makes me even more pessimistic about our teams chances.

Lousy game between two horribly flawed teams. Hard to watch. Play calling on both sides was terrible. Execution was very spotty.

That game was gift wrapped for the Jets and they managed to give it right back. Typical.

The Jets did their best to lose that game, they had it easily but simply fucked it up plain and simple.

We're 3-4 but apparently we should be happy with our two moral victories. A loss is a loss... I would rather be blown out than lose a game we should've won.

Sanchez yet again played like a dog in the waning minutes of a game.

its really hard for me to find solace in sanchez throwing for big yardage and completion percentage when the pats have been torched worse by:

Russ Wilson, Joe Flacco, Ryan fitzpatrcik

    in recent weeks.

It was a devastating loss because we were right on the brink of victory only to have to snatched away. The Jets D was pretty solid all day but, then then switch to a prevent defense in the final minute and Brady capitalizes.

Despite the loss I felt strangely energized too. We can definitely compete in this conference. Kerley was huge with 120 receiving yards, Greene had some nice runs, not those horrible two and three yard spurts of the first two games. Hill can be a beast, the drop was gut-wrenching but, he will improve. Keller is a huge threat and go to guy for Sanchez.

Sanchez also had some terrific passes late in the game. The AFC is up for grabs with only three teams over 500 right now. The Jets have just as good a shot as anybody else of making the playoffs.

based on what? having a worse record then 8 other teams?

we are behind a game on several teams and have the leagues 3rd worst QB. not sure how that gives us a good chance at anything

Sir I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately the Jets fan base has quite a few baby whiners who do nothing but complain no matter what the Jets do. Yes Mark Sanchez had a damn fine game yesterday (28 of 41 for 328 yards and 1 TD) and he did this while being sacked FOUR TIMES.

Some of these whiner Jets fans need to grow a pair and realize this team did a damn fine job yesterday.

I couldn't agree more. As usual, emo fans are over reacting. Most people didn't even expect a close game and we almost took it. This game solidified the fact that Sanchez' job is safe. People just rag on Sanchez because it's the cool thing to do. It's rarely ever based on his play as a whole. They selectively ignore anything good he did and focus only on the few mistakes. This team is improving each week, IMO. Sanchez was ranked #5 in QB rating this week. The haters are blinded by hate and only look to play the blame game. Watching the other games this week I saw plenty of QB errors much worse than the few Sanchez mistakes.

The problem is we're trying to explain the facts to you but you refuse to get it.

The Jets put up more yards than the Patriots, controlled more time of possession than the Patriots, and if the Pats don't get that kickoff return TD this game doesn't even go to overtime and the Jets win ALL WHILE BEING 10 to 12 POINT UNDERDOGS GOING INTO THE GAME.

Really man, try to see the game for what it was and not what what it wasn't. Very nice job by the New York Jets in this game.

We lost a game that was gift wrapped and served on Jets platter. That's just awful management on 3 & 1 and the use of Tebow and Play Action pass in general. Have to be able to see what is working and stick to the game plan.

Our running game and defense were great! Sanchez has moments of excellence and then he finds a way to make the most erratic decisions ever. His vision is sub par and ability to read a defense is sub par. Our OC made terrible game time decisions as well.

    1) Sanchez is ready and able to run a hurry-up offense
    2) Sanchez cannot complete a screen and checks down all the freaking time.
    3) For the love of everything PLAY ACTION PASS, BOOT LEG, #6 IS A MOBILE QB THAT CAN MAKE PLAYS WITH HIS FEET AND GET DEFENSES TO MIS DIRECT
    4) We are better without Holmes, get rid of that baby.
    5) Cromartie is beast, but he dropped a huge interception.

Take the training wheels off of Sanchez. It is time to let him fly like a Jet or crash and move on.

I hate loser Jets fans who take so much solace in BS moral victories... I wish we could shed this goddamn loser mentality, it plagues this organization from the top down and the fans feed it. Most fans of good teams would not be happy with an overtime loss WTF should Jets fans?

    no you arent.

    but yards dont win games.

we also turned it over 3 times compared to their 1. which is alot more meaningful then T.O.P.

you talk about "Facts" then come back with the ultimate "whatif" the fact is they DID return that kickoff for a TD.
what it was is a game we had a lead in with under 2 minutes to play and lost. a game we had a chance to win in overtime but fumbled it away. a game where we could capitalize on a huge gift(late fumble by mccourty)

we got outcoached, we turned it over a ton, made a ton of mental errors, and threw a way a chance to go 3-0 in the division and pick up a game on the pats.

really? not based on his play?

    29th in QB rating
    32nd in completion percentage
    27th in yards per game
    20th in turnovers

to me, thats his play, and not because its "the cool thing to do" he has been awful this season. was he ok yestarday? yes. was he good vs buffallo? yes. but thats not the norm.
