Beltran won't play, and if they're smart they'll replace him with a catcher (maybe the other Molina?).

Hamilton making it was a travesty. He's popular from last year, but he's sucked and been injured this season. This was the first time in many years that I didn't vote at all.
Kevin Millwood should've made it for his pitching for Texas, considering how rare it is for a Texas pitcher to do well.
No. He never stopped being a whiny bitch so he won't turn into anything. He remains a whiny little bitch.
kinsler has 19 hrs pedroia has 2. if you want to argue that pedroia has better avg/obp numbers, then give it to cano who is beating him in almost every category across the board.
Depending on how the respective rotations line up, I'd say the AL favorite is Greinke and the NL is Lincecum.
Pedroia only belongs on the team this year as the 3rd second baseman. He's been in a serious cold streak since June. He's an extremely streaky guy and he will probably rebound in the second half to end up somewhere probably better than '07 but not quite as good as '08. But Ian Kinsler and Aaron Hill were better players in the first half and it's not even close. Wakefield is probably less deserving than a good number of guys (even Lester on his own team) but since he's never been to one before he really deserves it at least once.
Agreed on both points. Wakefield didn't really deserve it, but it's not completely outrageous. He's had a good season, and they're probably looking at it as a career achievement type of thing. Kinsler or Hill should definitely be starting at second. Pedroia isn't in the debate.
It's moot since he won't be playing anyway, but saying that Beltran clearly doesn't deserve it makes no sense to me. He has the fourth highest OPS among NL outfielders, and Hawpe (who will probably now start) benefits from playing in Coors Field (his OPS+ and Beltran's are virtually identical). Beltran is also vastly superior in the field - Hawpe is a bad rightfielder, and Beltran is an excellent centerfielder. What I find interesting is that both teams have only 2 catchers.
You're right, but I'd prefer ASG starters to have played more. He put up good numbers when he played.
