Kind of random but John Clayton posted on his blog that Atari Bigby just moved up into the starting SS spot with the Packers. He said packer fans are pretty fired up about his physical presence and intensity. Unless Im mistaken he was in Jets camp last year and split time between CB and safety and a lot of fans liked him to make the roster. I have to say more than anything this gives me a lot of faith in our front office as far as talent evaluation. Even if a guy is a bubble guy that doesnt end up making our roster we seem to be bringing in guys that do have NFL potential, whether it be here or somewhere else. Sooner or later we are bound to catch "lightning in a bottle" and capture a star from late rounds or undrafted. We've already had success in the mid rounds (cotchery, rhodes, Washington, Smith, etc) but I just wanted to draw some attention because I know we all instantly say "training camp fodder" when we see some of these signings but I am very impressed that someone like Atari Bigby is competing for a starting position and it makes me fel really good about the future with Tannenbaum and co.....

    cheers

All I know is that his hair took up three roster spots when he was here. Besides, any woman who would name their kid Atari probably hangs out with the same gal who named her kid Laveranues. Please, will someone just tell Coles to his face that his name has two variances, and this one is the one that doesn't fit with the others? And never will?

...and didn't realise that the way it's pronounced is nothing close to the way it is spelled.
