I don;t know if this is really that significant....unless you're travelling from afar to see the game...but I just heard it on Sirius NFL Radio. Here's the link to NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/schedules
Don't they change games to 4:15 because they are expected to be better games, and the NFL is trying to improve ratings? That's awesome. Who would have thought 6 months ago we would be looking at the Bills and Jets being a "big game," with playoff implications?
4pm games are awful to attend as a fan. We played enough of them at home early in the season that we shouldn't have to put up with it now.
I'm very happy about it as it looks like I'll get the game now, since it's no longer at the same time as the Patriots game.
Told you so http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=14770 Its not a ratings thing the giants got moved 2 weeks and havent had a early since they played houston
Good for me. Means Giants at Car at 1 of course. Also means, well know a little more about the playoffs before the games starts
Doesn't affect me much, my wife won't like it. Funny how even the flex scheduling couldn't prevent the Philly-Indy clunker last night.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2397614 The article posted is about the new way the Sunday Night game works now, however, that line I quoted says what I was talking about. Finally, some respect for our team!
Until the final week of the season, the league must decide at least 12 days in advance to change a Sunday Night game. 13 days ago, McNabb was still the Philly QB. My wife actually likes the later games. Then she can drag me out of the house early, knowing we don't have to rush back for a 1pm start. It does suck for the ticket holders though. A cold December evening in the Meadowlands. What fun...
Damn... 4:15 start sucks... The drive back to the City and into Queens is long enough(2 hours 30 minutes yesterday and the week before)... Now ill be going to Giant Stadium at 2:00, with heavy traffic because of the holiday shopping... damn It usually only takes about an hour to get to Giant Stadium at 1:00 games.
according to accuweather they are calling for cold!! 39 high - feel like 15 at night -- damn! late games against buffalo always make me sick -- we never seem to show up against them at home -- we need to take care of GB first. Just called my friend to make sure he picks up a lot of firewood!
I've always preferred 1PM games over 4PM games, but whatever they are, we deserve to have more notice than 12 days. I think it's ludicrous the way the NFL is shoving all the fans around with this, season ticketholders especially. If you're trying to plan a game around some family function, you wind up playing a guessing game with the time. It's not enough that they hit us up for $4000 for 4 tickets in the Mezzanine, they have to make you f@cking wonder what time the game is until the last minute. WE DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THIS! FANS UNITE! STICK YOUR HEAD OUT THE WINDOW WHEN YOU PAY FOR PARKING AT THE GATE AND YELL, "I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!" After security arrests you and makes you surrender your tickets, you will have proven your point!
This blows cuz I was going to tag along with my dad (he's got a conference) and go to the game on Sunday, fly out Sunday night. Now we really can't though because I have a final early the next day.
12 days is not enough? How is it last minute? You knew they started this stuff last year you should of at least planned things in case the game was moved. Last minute would be moving the game the day before to Arizona or something all this does is extend/delay trips by 3 hours and gives you a 2 week notice.
Great for me. I had just made a post on The Mat.com complaining that Hofstra had scheduled a dual meet against Penn. St. at 1PM Sunday Dec 10th. Hofstra no less, where the Jets train. No I can see both. BTW, Hofstra just knocked off #1 Minnesota on Saturday.
