Anyone here remember Brian Bosworth? Well if you do his twin nephews out of UCLA are entering the 2010 NFL draft http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-0331-ucla-pro-day-20100331,0,3240983.story Brian Bosworth watches linebackers Kyle and Korey Bosworth, his twin nephews, go through drills for NFL scouts. But the school’s marquee players are defensive tackle Brian Price and cornerback Alterraun Verner. With their famous uncle at the finish line, leaning over the parking lot railing with stopwatch in hand, UCLA's Bosworth brothers on Tuesday took what they hope to be the first steps toward careers in professional football. Twin linebackers Kyle and Korey Bosworth, nephews of former NFL star Brian Bosworth, worked out and ran for scouts from virtually every team, striving to prove they're ready for the next level. They weren't the stars of the school's pro day — the marquee players were defensive tackle Brian Price, a likely first-round pick, and cornerback Alterraun Verner — but the Bosworths impressed evaluators with their effort. The general consensus is the brothers will likely go near the end of the draft, or afterward as free agents. "I liked the way they attacked their workout," one scout said. "They're high-character guys, hard-working, no-quit, relentless. They'll probably end up making it." For Korey, who will be expected to make the transition from college defensive end to pro linebacker, just getting to pro day gives him a chance to exhale. "The last few months have felt like an entire year," he said. "You're sitting there training the entire time like, ‘When's this going to happen? When's this going to happen?. . . It's a long road." Each scout times the 40 on his own, then they convene to compare notes. According to one scout, Korey covered the distance in 4.64 seconds, and Kyle in 4.62. Those are good but not great times. UCLA's pro day, which is held a day before USC's, featured several players who could get a look in the pros. Working out along with Price, Verner and the Bosworths were receiver Terrence Austin, linebacker Reggie Carter, tight ends Ryan Moya and Logan Paulsen, and running backs Chane Moline and Trevor Theriot. Price didn't run the 40-yard dash — he did so at the scouting combine in February — but he ran through a series of drills for evaluators, among them Ted Thompson, general manager of the Green Bay Packers. (It's worth noting the Packers used their top pick last season on a defensive tackle, B.J. Raji of Boston College.) The lone head coach at the pro day was John Fox of the Carolina Panthers, who's from California and typically comes back to watch the Bruins and Trojans work out. "I'm not going to come all the way out here if there weren't players," Fox said. "I think the [UCLA] program has gotten better, and they've got a pretty good little class here of guys. There are some guys who will get a look, make it, and maybe end up in the league." http://www.blogtalkradio.com/all-ac...04/player-spotlight-show-kyle-bosworth-ucla-1 What do you guys think?
