Probably on, but Tannenbaum said last night that he would either be traded or cut by 4pm so it's going to happen.
I wish their could have been some kind of a 3 way trade letting Chad go for nothing i mean not even a 7th rounder makes no sense.
He's getting cut but it takes time for league approval. So it will be done by 4. I would be trying to trade him for a 7th rounder.
If only Favre could re-structure (and he claims it was "never about the money") then we could 1. keep Chad as our #2, or 2. trade him for the same conditional we just sent away (trade him to the vikings). It sucks because he's a good player and we should atleast get a 4th or 5th round pick for him and we're RELEASING him. There goes our whole heart and soul of the team.
Aint gonna get nothing for him not enough demand. Everyone knows we cant afford to keep him on roster also.
No leverage but if some (any?) interest could be drummed up, maybe a team or two would be willing to trade.... Never mind just remembered he's got a $6,000,000 price tag. No chance he is traded.
We could end up getting a late rounder with incentive increases if there is more than one team interested. I don't think we could do it before 4pm though. I like to think that the organization is doing the classy thing for a guy that's been nothing but, and letting him choose his own fate as soon as possible. Although it could just be for cap reasons...either way, he deserves it.
Chad should go straight to TV. That would be a hoot. Watch him disect NFL QB's. Can you imagine him sitting next to 'JAWS', Boomer, Marino, Bradshaw. Maybe he can team up with Meril Hodge and use his superior intellect to shatter Meril's false confidence talking all that BS.
Yeah, Mrs. Mangini sent over some of Eric's favorite pie and ice cream for Chad. Gone, but not forgotten!
I just want to bring something up that has nothing to do with the topic if no one minds (Apperently I cant make a topic since i dont have enough posts). When you guys hear that CBS NFL theme song that they always play going into commercials and before games, etc., do bad memories pop in your head? Cause I wanna know if Im the only one. Every time they go to a commericial and I hear that DUN DUN DUN! I think of bad Jets memories from recent years. Im begging CBS to change that damn song. I know this is just something silly, but I felt I had to get it off my chest.
