You knew it was coming, well here it is. http://www.vikings.com/news/article...-Vikings/0634fa2c-3ab5-4056-b461-0f2100c2110e
I'm actually excited to see what Leslie Frazier does. There was some buzz around him being a HC during the offseason. I really hope his first move as HC is benching favre.
He wouldn't have had his job this year if it weren't for Favre last year. And he gets to keep his money. I'd say Childress made out pretty good there. Now he can sit home and count his money.
Willis is correct......I attended a game in Minny back in 2008 (the year before Favre played in Minny)....and the chants to fire Childress were pretty fucking loud then as well. Favre basically lined Chilly's pockets with cash.....firing or no firing.
Frazier either gives Favre this week to see if the team responds, or talks Favre into retiring now to save his record and the team moves foward and gives Jackson some expieriance for next year.
I've got a hunch Favre won't have to be benched...i think he's done with the team. Which probably facilitated Childress's firing in the first place.
Cut Favre. Or better yet, bench his ass and send the message to the team that no player is above the team. That would be novel in Minn.
NFL.Com has already pulled Chilly from the Vikes section. I wanted to check out their staff, and he was gone.
the cancer has taken out another coach. i really do hope the new coach benches him as it is deserved. on a side note espn seems to have replaced favre with michael vick as their new golden boy for the week.
He has to be benched. When you are out of it, you have to prepare for next year. No 3-7 teams start 41 year olds.
If Frazier benches Favre, he really will lose his job. That's what got Childress fired. Childress had the audacity to criticize the Great Favre. If Frazier is smart, he will keep his mouth shut and let Favre run the team. The Vikings are just extras in the Brett Favre Show.
