Already got the tickets for the early PM matinee showing. I'll post my thoughts later today but I am looking forward to the movie that embarrassed the NFL. For once, Will Smith actually has to act instead of fit the character to his personality. Heard he does a pretty good job so we'll see.
I saw it yesterday. I thought it was good. Thought the movie got clunky everytime they tried to squeeze in the romance part of it though. Smith was pretty damn good.
I'm shocked that Smith actually can act. Agreed on the romantic interludes. Liked the movie. I can see how the NFL didn't care for it.
They shouldn't. I know it's a movie, so I'm sure bits were exaggerated, but the part that got me most was at the end where it said the NFL settled with the caveat they never have to reveal specifically what they knew about the damages concussions were causing or for how long they knew. That's as good as an admission of guilt and disgusting to boot.
I saw it online...DVD copy. It was okay. Will Smith did a decent job, Luke Wilson was wasted as the commish...Its like they limited the Goodell's role, something the NFL may have asked
do you guys think this movie impacts any of the Jets players in a sense where they pull a Chris Borland and retire completely? http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...l-watching-concussion-movie-article-1.2480038 I need to see this movie BTW
Modern day gladiators... The league has attempted to protect the combatants If you choose to enter the game of competition , expect to get hit and protect yourself at all time Concussions are the shitty part of it, but seems near impossible to prevent; unfortunately
I can't wait until heavyweight boxers start suing boxing commissions because somehow inexplicably their heads hurt. _
