The Star Ledger has published Slater's latest 7-round mock draft. IMO it is interesting and was curious what you guys think. I don't know much about Basham, Wilson, Dimick and Stribling.

    His draft goes like this:

    1. Malik Hooker, FS
    2. Evan Engram, TE
    3a. Tarell Basham, OLB
    3b. Zay Jones, WR
    5. Howard Wilson, CB
    6. Hunter Dimick, OLB
    7. Channing Stribling, CB

I have mixed feelings about this mock. I love the Malik Hooker pick in the 2st round, but hate the Evan Engram pick in the 2nd. Aside from Engram, he has the Jets taking a slot receiver in Jones. I know that Jones is a good prospect and is rising up the charts, but imo Engram and he don't do enough to improve the offense. IMO the Jets need a RB and a 2-way TE. He has the Jets double-dipping at two defensive positions, if they aren't going to take a RB, why not double dip at TE? Then they could add a pure receiving threat and a 2-way TE.

I like that he has the Jets taking an OLB with good production, but I'd be surprised if they double dip at the position, especially with two, neither of whom have the flexibility, bend and speed to keep that level of production in the NFL. They already have Jenkins who can set the edge and be a solid starter, so I don't see the need for adding two OLBs. Double-dipping at CB isn't; a bad idea, and I like what the scouting report says on Wilson, but Stribling doesn't sound like that great a prospect, but since it's a 7th round pick, I guess one can't be too picky.
