One thing I'm very much looking forward to this Sunday is watching DeWayne Robertson. Do we have any Broncos fans in the house? Does anyone have a rough estimate on how many plays he's been involved in this year? He's been listed as a starter for most of the season, but shrewd Shanahan might be rotating him to keep the plays down and avoid compensating us.

However... with the Broncos looking to make a playoff run, and the Bronc D in the condition its in, I don't know if he can really afford to pull his best DT anymore.

    Any thoughts?

If DeW is there best DT then they are really deep doo-doo. Funny I was in IL this past spring & I met someone wearing a Denver Bronco jacket so I starting talking to him & thanked him as much as could for taking DeW off our hands

The Jets should welcome him back by giving all the fans a free cheesburger.

    Bingo.

We could have developed Adrien Clarke and had a rock for years.

Actually, when Herm was still in charge, his favorite at TC over at the Netherlands Hall was a second helping of the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.

He wasn't worth a shit during the two-a-days after that lunch break.

Doug Jolley could have been the best TE in franchise history...

Yeah, but if we welcomed him back by giving out fried chicken I guarantee you there would be an outcry and a protest.

I think the Jets are on track to receive a bag of footballs for Robertson. Which would be generous compensation.

The compensation is he and his salary are gone, a classic case of addition by subtraction. Look at the Giants, I think they've lost one game in a year since Shockey hasn't played for them.

    wow- this thread got derailed.

Is there a non-retarded person who knows what compensation we receive? And what stipulations need to be met?

Our worst compensation came with that lousy 4th Rounder we got for Herman Edwards. He was an outstanding coach. He ran a great Training Camp and all the players loved him, including DeWayne. And just look at all he's accomplishing these days.

And to think, all we were able to pick up with that pick we got for Herm was that sawed off little runt who can't even pound the ball up the middle.

OK, ok, ok, it's been fun, but we're getting off topic.

Seriously, if anyone has exact trade stipulations from the Robertson trade, please post them. If anyone knows a website that monitors play counts, that'd be good too.

I have the Ticket and have watched Robertson play a lot this year. I don't understand how I ever liked this guy? I saw him get blown off the line 5 yards twice on a 4th and 1.
