I thought this was one of the more hilarious things I've seen on the CBS Postgame.. After the game, they were discussing the Jets win and Boomer was making the case that the Jets are for real.. Dan Marino gave the absolute worst facial expression and rolled his eyes.. muttered something under his breath and repeated for two whole minutes, continuously muttering, but not actually saying anything. Boom then made a point about the AFC east today and how all of the teams were getting it done.. that didn't help as the Fins were only team in the AFC east to not win today.. I had to rewind and watch it over again for some good laughs. Anyone else happen to catch this?
Marino is a Jets hater, but what do you expect from a guy with a Wunderlik Score of 17? He's never going to give the Jets credit, but moreover, he's never going to get over not having a SB ring. Marino's a turd.
he never won a ring, and Favre has all of his records.... he's just another good QB now. Favre and a little bit of Manning have made him irrelevant in terms of the greatest QBs to play the game... fuck em/
i think that's really going out on a limb. marino was a phenomenal qb and is one of the greatest to ever play the game.
he'll fade... he has numbers, but they only get you so far. Give it more time, he'll become that "oh yeah him" guy.
I read that first quote and I started googling vicious dagger images, but you're right, he only has numbers, and numbers are always broken.
i'll give you the first three no problem. but Matt fucking Ryan? Holy shit. We are 11 games into the kids career and you are annointing him better than Dan Marino? or should I say will be? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY to early to be calling that. I will not lie to you, I thought Ryan was going to be awful in Atlanta, I was sure he would develop "David Carr Syndrome" but he has been great, but he's still young, and has done absolutely nothing to prove he can do it long term, or put up the kind of single season numbers Marino did. Granted I would absolutely love for Marino to fade into the background and never be heard from again when talking about top 10 All-Time QB's lists, but it will be a long time before ryan comes into the same breath, if it ever happens.
i'm fully aware, but I fell in love with the kid last March... I'll be following his career because I have the same feeling about him that Ron Wolf had about our beloved new signal caller back in 1991.
It seems like a lot in the media would rather talk about how this was a good loss for the Titans since now they don't have to worry about being undefeated. They are also gushing over Cassell's second 400 yard game. It seems like we still aren't quite getting the respect we deserve.
