http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/05/dwayne-jarrett-arrested-for-dui/ Bad enough he's 4th on a depth chart on a team STARVING for wideouts. He creates a distraction. Edit: My bad it was DWI and there's two t's in Jarrett. As a fan of wrestling after hearing countless J-E DOUBLE F J A DOUBLE R E DOUBLE T promo's from the 90's version of the Honky Tonk man, I should know better.
when do the calls for his suspension start? I hope they start immediately. Chances are no main stream media picks this up and demands him being suspended for a game...
So, the point is with all the outrage with Edwards, the same should be displayed with Jarrett. There shouldn't be a double standard.
SUSPEND THIS GUY RIGHT NOW. Oh wait he isn't on the Jets, Panthers suck, and the Panthers don't talk big/have confidence. Nevermind nothing to see here.
I hate the double standards that exist in this league. Hate them. Still awaiting the Ronnie Brown backlash.....
Wow. My point was that there is no way the media or any of the talking heads give two shits about a player from Carolina. Of course there should not be a double standard. More importantly and I'm not getting involved in the clusterfuck that was this argument a week ago----what happens off the field on a player's day off should have no bearing on his status on game day.
I think most of us get that but it's still fun to mock the media and everyone else who wanted to roast the Jets for not sitting Edwards.
I think only Zace didn't get that. Idk who he is but I wouldn't put much stock in him based on this thread.
I quoted you and jfaulk because I agreed with you two. I want to see all the people who bashed the shit out of the Jets for "only" suspending Edwards *ahem* (and you know who you are) one quarter come out of the woodwork. And give it another 3 weeks before the next one, because in this league that seems to be the average time span between DWIs.
