Yup the Jets are scheduled to play in London next year. Good fact check. Thanks for helping us out. Jets are closer to NYC than Pats are to Boston...
The Boston Patriots' haven't been a team for a long, long time. They also played in fields in Boston at the time that they were. The New England Patriots' do play in New England though.
Yes and the New York Jets played in New York and then moved to a stadium in New Jersey. The Pats tried to stay in Boston but couldn't because Boston wasn't willing to build a new stadium to meet NFL requirements (some things never change). The Bay State Patriots popped up until probably someone realized that BS Patriots is not the greatest name ever so they took New England because well NH and Foxboro and other non Boston locations were calling for the team and they needed to build up a fan base that really wasn't there and wanted to try to stay as close to the Boston name they gave up. So they changed names to you know grab more fans. The Jets just kept NY to well you know keep more fans. So the Pats are considered a Boston team even though they play in Foxborough and aren't even called the Boston Patriots and the New York Jets are considered a New York team even though they play in New Jersey but are called New York.
lol Eli is a damn joke. Absolutely incredible this guy has 2 SBs to his resume Late in the game they had him throw 3 straight fades to 3 different players in the end zone and one of the announcers made a comment that they should give Eli a chance to read the field. I was literally yelling at the TV that they don't want him reading the field...he had 4 picks! And what do you know, next play they let Eli read the field and he throws his 5th pick of the day.
saw this on ESPN: d_hanson3 my friends played a drinking game and one of the conditions was to drink when Eli Manning throws a pick. we had their funeral today
Can't take anything away from the guy. He has two rings, but holy hell he's been dreadful to watch these past couple seasons.
The more I see them suck the more I realize that the only difference between us and them in recent history is that their 2 runs ended with a Super Bowl victory.
The Jets and Giants represent NYC not NYS so when discussing "new York" the Bills don't come into play. No one care's about Canada's team down here
You could argue Chad Pennington was better than Eli Manning. I think you could also argue Mark Sanchez was better than Eli Manning. He has mostly been terrible except 2 random months of his career when he won 2 Super Bowls against the Patriots. How it happened, I will never know. Haha.
If only the stadium wasn't in New Jersey rather Long Island or somewhere NOT in another state at least
I took his post to be about the Bills and how they used to play a game in Toronto each season for a five year spell.
Yeah I just flipped it to the Jets because I was trying to poke fun at it. It's as silly for me to say Boston doesn't have a football team. Boston claims the Pats and NY claims the Jets/Giants. It is what it is even if the names aren't entirely accurate when you bring in stadium location
The difference between the Giants and the Jets was that the QB is the most important position on the field and for all his flaws Eli Manning is 5x the QB Sanchez is. You don't get a ton of tipped passes at the line of scrimmage when you're 6'4"
