    Was Dig much worse than Smith? I can't see how. Would rather see Smith on the Pats. The Pats would really have the worst defense then.

    Unless Smith took Gronk out for the rest of the game, they should just cut him at halftime and put McKnight in at safety

    So does Sanchez, Ryan and everybody else associated with this team. 1st and goal with 2 minutes left and he throws? and then throws again? and then calls a time out? Why not just walk off the field and give them the game.

    Leonhard was the guy who actually hit Gronk. Smith was flat on the ground grabbing at Gronk's ankles, which is a change of pace considering he's usually grabbing his own ankles for the other teams.

    Wilson should be taking snaps at safety if they come out in two WR sets. He can actually cover a TE.

    Dig really isn't much better.

    That position needs to be upgraded in the offseason.

    he's right, whether there is a thread like this everygame or now, Eric smith is total garbage, he is the achillies heal of the defense, at some point you just get sick and tired of the guy. Nevertheless, lets hope they wake up in the second half and play like we know they can play, NE has looked average at best.

    I can't see how, if the Jets win tonight Eric Smith will still be as terrible as he has been for the past few seasons.

    Of course, Smith might actually get in position in coverage and jump a route for a pick 6 to win the game, but that might be exactly the same time monkeys come flying out of my arse, so I will probably miss it.

    It doesn't get more obvious how much you suck when the Pats continue to throw it your way and run it directly at you. Smith sucks and I hope the coaching staff realizes it by the off-season.
