Just watched the Pats game and of course they the laughed and said the pats would win by 70 over the Jets. I just can't take this love affair with the Pats. If there was ever a miracle this year would be a nice victory over the Pats. Yes they are a great team but the platitudes and and the constant adoration these announcers throw upon them really gets under your skin.

Kornheiser is awesome. PTI is the best show on ESPN. He can get pretty annoying on Monday Night Football, but the guy is a New York sports fan, and he just get pissed off about how bad all of the teams are.
I'm in the Kornheiser fan club. Don't really see what's wrong with pointing out that yes, the Pats will destroy the Jets.
I actually don't mind Kornheiser. He at least adds some color commentary, and doesn't act like he's the end-all be-all of football knowledge like Theisman did. And yes, PTI is by far the best show on ESPN.
we are always the "lowly" jets or the "hapless" jets on espn. even last year we get no respect. when we are good we grind out wins, thats not what gets you on espn and if it doesnt and we win then whatever im sorry im not going to be mad at a sports network who have sportscenter specials on stupid things like new years SEE HOW SPORTSCENTER IS DONE BEHIND THE SCENES!!!!! yea whatever
I agree. PIT is awesome and his personality goes well on the show but does NOT work most of the time on SNF. Remember, these are the same guys who picked Miami to win last week and we made them look foolish for doing so. Of course they're gonna take the Patsies, they already looked foolish once with us.
Honestly I hate about 80% of sports (mosty NFL) announcers. There was a time when the job was a profession. Now they let schmucks on who start screaming when they see big plays, or cannot speak the english language, or do not know a single thing about the sport take the booth. It's disgusting. Tony Kornheiser is pretty bad, but I don't hate him. Yeah, he's better suited for PTI... either way, he talks about stuff like american idol and boygeorge way too much.
Count me into the minority as well. Kornheiser annoyed me to no end last year on MNF, but he's toned it down a bit this year, and it's working. He can still grate my nerves on Mondays, but overall, he's better. As for PTI, it's by far the best show on ESPN. I don't think it's because of Kornheiser though. Wilbon makes that show. Actually, he makes Kornheiser, and together, they make the show. There's a clear difference in quality when they have a guest host with either of them, but it's still better when it's Wilbon and a fill-in rather than Kornheiser. As for laughing at the Jets, come on. We're laughing at the Jets. They're just being realistic. However, saying that Miami would be the team to end the streak was a bit much. Who knows? Maybe we can squeak out a win against NE, but it's highly doubtful. A winter game in Foxboro, while they're having one of the greatest seasons ever, and we're simply dismal. It's not going to happen.

I hope your right, but after last night game, the Steelers are playing against the whole stadium and the refs. I don't think they have much of a chance.
Mangini should dedicate this week and next week solely to studying tape of the Patriot games and put no effort in the Cleveland game. The team should do the same. A win in NE again, especially after the whole Spygate debacle and the Pats potentially being 13-0 at that point would translate into a winning season for me. I can see Belicocky now, walking off the field without shaking Mangini's hand. It would be glorious.

To motivate the Pats for the Jets game Belichik is going to have to set targets for them. Something like "ok, we're breaking the game up into 12 5 minute periods, 3 per quarter, and you guys are running a mile at practice on Tuesday for every period that we don't get some kind of score in..." Edit: Ya know I just realized that this is what Mangini should do. For the laugh factor if nothing else.
