I was proposed this trade in my league and I am completely stumped over what to do. Here it is: I get : Albert Pujols and Ryan Zimmerman I give: Miguel Cabrera and Adrian Gonzalez Here is my team: C: Kenji Johjima 1B: Mark Teixeira 2B: Dan Uggla 3B: Miguel Cabrera SS: Michael Young OF: Alfonso Soriano OF: Jason Bay OF: Matt Holliday UT: Adrian Gonzo BN: Jonny Damon BN: Felipe Lopez BN: Delmon Young Thanks to anyone who can give me some help with it.
Absoluetly not.... you are giving up way too much. Yes Pujols is great but if you think about it is he really gonna be that much of an upgrade over Gonzalez? Adrian is gonna hit 35+ HRS and have over 100 RBI's. There is no way you give up Cabrera for Zimmerman who is going to have very few RBI chances in front of him. There is a reason (take away the walkoff last night) he has struggled to this point.
I'd do it. Tex can go in the UTL, and it's lot easier to bench him or trade him from there if he keeps sucking. Zim is solid, and Pujols is the best plaer in the game. Gonzalez isn't a proven commodity, I oouldn't put too much stock into his first month. How'd you get all those guys? If your hitting is so good, your pitching must be bad...
My pitching has Lackey, Felix, Harden, Rich Hill, Chris Young. The reason I got all the good hitters is because there was an unbelievable closer run in the beginning of this draft and I didn't fall in. I ended up with Armando Benitez and I've picked people up in the beginning. I just took all the hitters that fell to me and concentrated on pitching later.
Yeah, I think you take it. Miggie is the next Pujols, and Adrian Gonzalez is finally reaching his first overall choice potential, he's legit.
Well since this got bumped back up, I'll just end it by saying that I accepted the trade. I figured that I was getting the better player in Pujols and the trade was basically even. I can't see it hurting my team too much but it could have a huge positive effect. Thanks for all your advise and I'm sure I'll have another one some time soon.
