From Boland's Blog this morning... "* Three players were not invited back for the second day, one of them someone I targeted here as having a good first day. The players were LB George Covington, OL Stephen Valenta and Hofstra WR Ottis Lewis, whom I doomed with praise. This is what?s known around here as getting Kapinos?d. Whoops...just realized that Jabba had already posted this news in the Draft Forum http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=45048 Sorry for the re-post
why would this be in the draft forum? I thought the draft was over.... I'd rather hear about ANY news on the Jets in here. This includes UDFA's.
Yeah, that's why my first inclination was to post it here. The UFDA thread was started almost immediately after the draft ended as names started to leak from various sources that we had signed guys. It kind of made sense there since so many had done mocks, etc., so the names were an extension of the "draft" kinda. It was being continually updated as the names became official. Then when it was reported that they had cut a few guys after the first day, it was put in there to keep the list current. Either way, I thought it was interesting that they sent some guys home so quickly. No doubt it was a message to them all that they needed to keep busting their ass to not be next.
I'm not ognna read thru 10 pges of opoinion to get one paragraph of updated news. This having one thread for everything stuff is annoying. Especially when 2 posters disagree, and there ends up being a million pages. I prefer new news getting their own thread.
there's already a thread on new news getting their own new news thread. new news getting new news threads is not new news and does not get a new news thread.
I agree, if there is a new story about different players it deserves its own thread. Where most of us were up in arms was when we saw 10+ nonsense Cutler threads clogging the first page, most of those being opinions from posters who fealt that they HAD something new/unique to offer- when in fact they didn't.
