    who was playing center for them last year
    ? I odnt follow the minor leagues...would they move whoever that was to left? I hope they still want nippon nancy

    i think it was randy winn or dave roberts, but i was making the assumption they wouldnt want matsui since they just signed an outfielder. they probably need infield/pitching then they do outfield now.

    They are looking at Matsui for a corner outfield position, not center. They have lots of money without Bonds dragging them down.

    Of course this does take Rowand off the market as a potential Cabrera replacement.

    matsui can barely play left let alone center. i know that. i was suggesting that it unlikely that the giants go after two ~12 mill outfielders when the rest of their team blows
