and I do NOT blame him for this loss, but SURELY he should have been benched in the 4th quarter, not only to "send a message", but also to prevent an injury. What the hell was Ryan thinking?
Id say halfway through the 4th quarter, but yes. Poorly coached game too. Lets hope we can get back on track. If we dont beat Miami then we can say there is a serious problem.
I don't think he needed to send a message to Sanchez (he seems pretty self-aware), but the injury thing is a valid point. The same could be said for Brady.
no way. i think it would have sent the wrong message to bench him. while injury prevention is a concern benching him could severely affect him. he has just become a confident qb over the past month or so, to bench him and possibly bring back the sulking guy who walked around last year would be season suicide. its not like we have someone who can lead this team sitting at #2 qb at the moment.
Rex was out of his mind last night. That game got away from him like an avalanche and he went into lala land. It looked like he was going to cry on the sideline.
Yeah he looked panicked. This might be the first time when nothing he tried on defense worked. He was out of his element.
because of fear of injury sure. but if sanchez gets into one of those i feel sorry for myself funks he has in the past the season is over. we need this kid to play well. he has finally shown us all some moxie and played tough and led the team to victories. if he gets down on himself because he got pulled (for the first time i believe) it would be a huge problem for this team. sometimes like a pitcher you just have to battle through it and hope you can get something positive out of the game. he really didnt but i think that the coach stuck with him to the end helps him more than sitting him down. i think that would send the wrong message to the kid.
It is not Sanchez's fault that the Jets traded up for him in a weak Qb year. He is not as good as the spot he was drafted and he will have to suffer for it. He is a second rd QB and has to play like a top ten pick.
i love rex ryan, and wouldnt get rid of the guy, but i thought he was done with this dumb fuck coaching. the 1st quarter was the ultimate hole. after all those jerk off mistakes the game got so out of hand, and raised the patriots moral to levels untouchable. lmao you are talking like a clown. im about to make a thread to show why sanchez is a good fucking qb. something that stands out is when he plays like shit he has responded 100% of the time with a quality game.
Why is it that the only time you post is when it's convenient to bash Sanchez? Where were you when he was pulling wins out for us at the end week after week?
For the very reason Sanchez played (and has played) so poorly at times, is why benching him would have been a terrible mistake - he has shown to have a weak psyche at times, and that's not something you want to mess around with your franchise QB. I wouldn't go that far. If he looked teary-eyed, consider the temperature. Extremely cold weather will make your sinuses rain.
Because there is no reason to post when we beat the likes of the Browns, Lions and Bengals. I judge our team on the good teams we play with the money spent and the talent we have we are supposed to be the other teams. The fact of the matter is he has to beat the Brady's, Mannings, Big Bens and Flacco's to get to a Sb and Rogers, Vicks and Brees's if we end up getting there and before you say it yes it takes a team to make it but the plays those Qb's make will dictate if their teams make it far in the playoffs. Unfortunately the rest of our Team is on another level than our Qb and I have said he is a 80 degree and Sunny Qb since draft day. I have tried to support him but he is not good. He is mediocre and that will not be the Qb's today. Rex had one of the best defenses of all time and they were only able to win one SB. Sanchez has to be that guy against those teams and that is why he gets it the most from me.
I didn't think he played awful until that pick in the 3rd quarter, we had a few drives cut short but guys dropping balls or giving up a pressure on a 3 man rush.
I will be back to post after the Steeler game as well to post regarding his performance. We will see what he learns from this.
You haven't tried to support shit. You love Kellen Clemens and were butt hurt when Sanchez was drafted. You are probably Clemens himself, or a family member.
That's not exactly a fair assessment. Mediocre QBs don't do this:
