As you all know Revis, Mangold, Ferguson, and Harris, are among a list of players have their contracts ending very soon. Even though there are more guys, Edwards and Holmes etc... those 4 guys could be seen as "the core"

If we HAD to lose one of those guys- which is possible for certain.. which one would you guys most be willing to part with?

I say Mangold. Even though I love the guy and he's an animal and it would suck to see him go, I would rather lose a center than a CB (best in the league!), an LT, and a MLB. Behind QB those are perhaps the 3 most important positions and those are 3 stout guys!

    thoughts?

I would say Harris, as long as Rex is still our HC. Our D could still be tops without top players as long as Rex is around.

I agree. We need all the help we can get on offense, and our OLine is obviously our biggest strength as a unit.

No slight on Harris......but Revis, Ferguson and Mangold are just too damn important to this team over the long term.

Harris for sure. Mangold is a beast of a center. Harris is a beast of a MLB as well, but at least with Rex we know that he can attract players to fill that role and/or he can develop a player as well. Players just thrive in Rex's defensive system, so it would be a much easier fill....

Harris. ILBs are not cornerstones. Except RayRay.

It'd be Harris or Brick. I LOVE Harris at ILB, hope he is here for 10+ yrs and would hate to see him go but it's pretty common knowledge that LT is more important to the team than ILB.

Yeah it has to be Harris. Love the guy but already having big money in Bart Scott doesn't give us a ton of options. I think they can find a solid second ILB to pair with him in the draft or FA a lot easier than a Lt or either all pro.

I wouldn't let any of them go under any circumstance. Those are 4 franchise cornerstones; finding a 3-4 MLB as good as Harris, who's top-3 right now, would not be easy at all. You do what you have to to keep all 4 on the roster, even if it means not signing Holmes, Braylon, and/or Cromartie or cutting other vets to make it work. WRs can be easily replaced, and Wilson will be able to step into Cromartie's shoes. Hopefully, though, Tanny will find a way to get all of them signed.

We can't realistically choose one now, since we don't know how our personnel will develop. For all we know, Ducasse ends up a blue chipper LT type and makes Brick expendable. Or Cummings plays out of his minds and makes Harris expendable.

At this point, it's hard to say that we can let any of them go.

Harris. MLB is a much easier position to replace...especially given that Scott can already call the defense.

Depends if money is a big factor. Harris will command the least of the 4 so he will be the easiest to sign. If money is a big factor, I could see Brick being the odd man out, but I doubt it.

Harris would have to be the one to go out of the 4, but I suspect Tanny will find a way to sign them all.

I think it's a possibility that we sign all 4 and cut loose other players as well. Pace, BT, Jenkins (ugh), Woody. They are all far more expendable than the big 4.

Exactly.. plus we spend nothing on our RB's, which a lot of teams have big dollars invested in. So we can spend that money on those 4.

Plus, I think this is the last year for Woody, Thomas, and Ellis which clears some more room.

Adding nothing to this thread, but I'll say Harris. I think that Rex has a real 'next guy up' approach with this D. Mangold is the best at his position and D'Brick really came on last year.
