FYI the jets are number 1 in point differential (the difference of points allowed vs points scored) with 45. Just thought that would never happen

They're probably #1 in turnover differential also (+8)

It's incredible, when you look at important stats it's hard to dispute the Jets are playing the best football in the NFL right now. I don't think at any point in time we've been able to say that about the Jets. And Revis, Holmes and Pace come back next week.

The only thing they can improve on is penalties but they did a nice job Sunday vs. the Bills. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come

Is this the week the Jets take the reigns at #1 in the power rankings?

#2, Baltimore would probably be #1 since they beat us

No I think the Steelers will be #1, Jets #2, and Ravens #3.

The Saints didn't drop last week from their #2 spot, yet they lost to the Falcons.

In reality, we are a better team then the Ravens at this point in time. Sure they beat us, but we improved greatly since then. I will be suprised if the Ravens are ahead of us.

Why would the Steelers be #1 if the Ravens beat the Steelers and the Ravens beat us?

Makes sense, our only loss was 10-9 and there's just one unbeaten team.

Steelers belong at #1. Ravens beat them but the Ravens aren't getting their starting QB back this week.

Ravens second, Jets third, only because they beat us.

Packers and Saints round out top five.

Bills fall to #33, Alabama moves ahead of them.

Baltimore sure did beat us by a point, but Jets are playing better than them by far. Infact, Jets beat themselves in that game. Bad play calling and too many penalties. They lost to the Bengals. They barely beat Cleveland by a touchdown in which they went 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter. They beat Pittsburgh, who IMO, were getting lucky with Charlie Batch at QB who couldn't help his team run out less than 3 minutes and gave up great field position to set up the victory.

We on the other hand have played great football. We beat the Pats rather comfortably. We played better football in Miami and won that game (shouldn't have been that close after a 17-0 start). We then dismantled the Bills the way we were supposed to. So I think we are the better team between the two. Besides, Flacco isn't playing that well this year. Not compared to Sanchez at least. Our running game is far superior than theirs too and we are missing key starters that are yet to play plus Revis.

Just because A beat B doesn't mean they are better.

The logic doesnt work. Steelers are better than the Ravens today. Every Raven will admit that.

The Ravens also lost to the Bengals so does that mean the Bengals should be ahead of the Ravens?

    Of course not.

I don't think it really matters who beat who. What matters is the overall team performance. Steelers are the better team between them and Ravens. Steelers nearly won with Charlie Batch at QB. Jets are a better team than Ravens regardless of what the result of that game was. Jets self destroyed in that game and have fixed the issues they had in the opening week and have been extremely consistent at passing and running the ball.

I agree, personally I think we should be ranked higher than the Ravens. However, I'm not gonna be bothered by any power rankings that have them higher than us for the fact that we still lost to them and you can look at that as like a tiebreaker. If the Jets aren't top 3 in most rankings I'll be shocked tho.
