I know there has been plenty of speculation, and hell this may be too but at least we have it from someone credible:

Long story short, Craig Carton says we are bringing in Sidney Rice either today or tomorrow and we want to sign him badly. This would be a good get. It would probably mean we are going to draft BPA, which I would be fine with.

    Wasnt Rice a Idzik signing?

I would sign Rice man...He would fill a huge hole and it could be a rebound year for him.

I also think we then shift strategy and draft a TE in round 1...Or I hope, because I am against CBs in round 1 this year

Is that before or after he sees the Giants?

Rice is a big-bodied receiver who can score deep. If and only if he stays healthy, he would be a nice addition. I'm not sure this takes us out of the hunt for a receiver in the first though since he's no lock to play all 16 games

sounds like a decent risk to see if he's got anything left. might as well get some depth with upside.

i don't think WR will be the BPA at 18, despite majority here thinking we will draft a WR. also possible we don't land one in round 2 depending on how the board shakes out.

Idzik signing? He didn't sign anybody in Seattle. People need to realize that

I really hope this doesn't mean they won't take a WR in the first round... it would add some more flexibility tho so I would definitely be for it.

Not opposed to it but anyone who thinks this guy is going to light it up I think will be sadly disappointed.

Rice would be a great signing in terms of Receiver depth. I'll tired of having some trash like Jason Hill come in for us, Rice would be very nice.

I'm expecting him to miss 6-8 games because of injury

Please show, because I'm not seeing it. So far I've heard depth, upside, solid addition, good, and the suggestion of a potential bounce back year.

Eh, Sidney Rice would be an intriguing signing - we'll still lack that guy that can go vertical and get YACs though. Where would this guy be on the depth chart if he came?

He hasn't been the same since Favre retired and he's injury prone.
