i got the message via jets text message. it said jets sign cb ty law, release cb j. miller. even though miller was starting to get worthless bc his lack of cb skills and with washington the main return man i hate this bc he will be the one to sign with the pats today or tomorrow. tell me you cant see that. and why isnt revis linning up for kick return with washington. the kids an amazing return man, just throwing that out there

Very disappointing stint here, with the Jets.

I had high hopes for him, especially after his first training camp.

    From the official site:

11/11 — The Jets are laying down the Law — again.

Two and a half seasons after veteran cornerback Ty Law came up with 10 interceptions in his only season as a Jet, then headed off to Kansas City for two seasons, head coach Eric Mangini has just announced at this morning's news conference that Law will rejoin the Jets for the rest of this season.

"I've talked to Ty multiple times during the course of the season," Mangini said. "This was really the first opportunity we've had to get something done and we did. He's good physically in terms of his overall appearance, his weight, those things. We feel very comfortable about it."

Mangini said Law will practice with the Jets today and "I think there's definitely a chance" he could play in the Jets' Thursday night battle for first place in the AFC East with the Patriots in Foxboro, Mass.

NFL.com and ESPN had initial reports of Law's agreement to a contract on Monday night. But the deal was not finalized and the Jets had no comment on any of the reports until Mangini made it official today.

To make room on the 53-man active roster, the Jets released Justin Miller, their second-round pick in the 2005 draft. Miller had been active for one game this season.

This will be Ty Law day, needless to say. We'll be reporting throughout the day on Law's practice, Brett Favre from his news conference, Darrelle Revis, who grew up in the same hometown of Aliquippa, Pa., as Law.

Mangini just stated that Revis will not be giving up his uniform No. 24 to Law, who after all was Revis' inspiration for wearing the number in the first place. Law, who has worn 24 with the Patriots, Jets and Chiefs, will wear No. 22, his number from his college days at Michigan.

He was a great return man but now we have Leon so he was expendable.

On a side note, how do you get Jets text messages?

I have a feeling this is another player the Riggins Effect will take over. He'll go to an NFC to and be their Devin Hester...Watch.

Law > Coleman > Miller. Simple as that. Don't see why anyone would not like this signing. He won't be starting matched up against anyone's #1, he will contribute.

Sad news for J-Mill. I had hope for him. Belichick will sign him within the next half hour.

That sucks but that's football. Too bad the guy could never make anything out of his physical abilities.
