@ BUF @ BAL vs MIA vs OAK @ CAR vs CLE @ MIA Miami has to play the Pats, Chargers, @ Steelers, and us 2X. Chargers have to play Denver and KC 2X, Miami, Cincinnati Tennessee has to play Indy 2X, @ Denver, Baltimore plays us, Cincy 2X, Steelers, Pats, @ Chicago and Detroit Let's make the playoffs!
Let's hope the Tennessee loss isn't a killer. Unless somebody sweeps the Chiefs/Broncos series, it's 5 or 6 teams right now fighting for one spot.
Given how many teams are in contention for one spot, they're probably going to have to go 5-2 down the stretch to make it. At Baltimore, at Carolina, and at Miami will all be very tough games.
We need to fully commit to ground n pound especially with our receivers are as hurt as they are. There's def. a chance at the tournament imo.
I'm not concerned about this 5 or 6 team nonsense. Win the AFC East. We are competing against Miami and New England.
If we don't make the playoffs and finish with a winning record, like 9-7, our draft position's gonna suck. Would be nice to have a chance at Evans or Watkins.
No way we win the division. Look at the Pats schedule: @ Panthers vs Broncos @ Texans vs Browns @ Dolphins @ Ravens vs Bills No way they lose more than 2 of those.
The only real contender are the titans, weak division besides indy and they have a tie break Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I don't want to sound like a defeatist - but I would concede not making the playoffs. Not for better draft position but instead to get a better evaluation of Geno. As much as i love the win - what did we learn about Geno today. He managed the game today but I don't want a game manager. If that's all he'll ever be we need to know before this years draft. Let the kid sling it like he's been all year long and take his lumps imo.
They can also lose to the Steelers right now. @ Carolina is not an easy task and the Broncos is also a very tough game. They also have to play @ Houston who looks much, much better with Keenum at QB. Miami took them to the brink last week before letting up a huge lead -- in Miami, why not? The division is up for grabs.
I've watched every game this season and so far I am a believer. But I'd prefer to see Geno continue to grow over the course of an entire season before anointing him 'the guy'.
Let's say the Pats lose two more games, one to DEN and one to BAL. We have to win out to win without tiebreakers. If we go 6-1 down the stretch and we lose to a non AFC east team, we are tied with them. If we go 6-1 and lose to a AFC East team, they get the division. The WC is our best bet if you want to talk playoffs. Even if NE loses to PITT today, they have a game on us and we would need to shed our inconsistency and win 5-7 games out of 7 to take the division
We have 4 conference losses (Steelers, @Patriots, @Titans, Bengals) Our remaining AFC games: @Bills @Ravens Miami Oakland Cleveland @Miami Relatively, a pretty easy schedule compared to the other wild card teams The Chargers have 3 losses (Texans, @Titans, @Oakland). Their remaining AFC games: Broncos @Miami @Kansas City Bengals @Broncos Oakland Kansas City That's a tough schedule. They can potentially lose every one of those games. Probably won't, but compared to us, that's a tough schedule The Titans have 2 losses (@Houston, Kansas City). Their schedule: Jaguars Colts @Raiders @Colts @Denver @Jaguars Houston So the Titans are definitely a stronger threat than the Chargers IMO. But besides the Jaguars, those games won't be easy.
