The no-huddle is what is killing our team, and not just offensively. Especially after the recent article about the Giants knowing our calls you have to realize that its a problem.

The no-huddle is designed for a team that is great offensively and has a passing game that can catch a team offguard. (see the Colts). We have neither. We need to have a ball control offense and work off of our running game, like we used to when we had Curtis and Herm a few years back.

A ball-control offense will settle the pace down of the game and KEEP THE DEFENSE OFF THE FIELD. Isn't the goal to win the time of posession. What's the point if we go either 3 and out with a turnover or just drive down the field in 2 minutes. I think it really hurts against us.

Huddle up, use the play clock, run the ball, use play action, and keep the defense off the field! Chad is smart and all but we are over thinking the opponent. Save it for 2 minute drills or if you actually think you can catch the team off guard. Not on every single play.

We don't have the offensive line to have a run-first offense. Coupled with the fact Chad gives no deep threat to defend and your run offense suffers as well.

^ Alright, then pass the ball out of huddle. Our offense is always so panicked.

Chad is a quarterback that gets into a rhythm and picks apart defenses when he's on. He can't do that when he's running up to the line, guessing the defense, changing the play, moving guys around, etc etc. His job should be to get the play, tell everyone the play, and execute the play. He shouldn't be coordinating the offense. That's too much burden on a player that already has plenty of things to worry about.

It seems like the only way we get any momentum on offense is via the no-huddle.

all i know is that before a bunch of our plays when chad was changing the play the giants were overloading one side of the line and stopping our runs like they were a joke. Either chad gives away the plays or we are once again the most predictable offense in football

Odds are if you ONLY run the no huddle, then anytime you gain momentun on offense will be from the no huddle... we don't know what this offense can do with a normal offense.

We don't run a no huddle... we run arguably the worst two minute drill in history, and an offense that kinda huddles, then points at the the people on the field who we are not going to block, and finally, to top it all off, Chad points at the guy on the other team who he is going to throw the ball to. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Our Defense is not capable of holding teams this year and ball control will not work. If we get down by 10 points that is all she wrote. Chad can not play the kill the clock game this year. The Giants game was a perfect example of how that will not work this year. We have to outscore teams because we are not that good.

You generally need a running game too in order to outscore your opponents. Just because Clemens can throw it farther than Pennington doesn't mean we're going to miraculously score more points. In case anyone has missed it, the playcalling has kind of sucked too and that's probably not going to change with the QB. If Schotty suddenly starts mixing up the plays better then maybe, but that one stat shown on Sunday was telling where they said 96% of the time they line up with a RB 8 yards deep that it's a run. That is on the playcalling and not on the QB. If Clemens lines up at QB and there is a RB 8 yards behind him and it's still a running play, THAT is on the OC.
