You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit, but Acta never showed an ounce of emotion. That "even keel" crap is for tee-ball. Anything after that, if you're making tons of errors and stupid mistakes at the plate, the manager needs to get on you. Acta didn't, so today he gets on the unemployment line.

I've read a few interviews of him and he sounds like an impressive, intelligent guy. If anything, Kasten is to blame for this shit show. He's the one that hired that corrupt idiot Bowden. Acta has nothing to do with the fact that the Nats came into this season with a bullpen that everyone knew would blow a ton of games.

can't even root for an acta hire now because if that happens all it will mean is omar or his cronie bernazard are still hanging around in power.

Acta sucked so bad. His team wasn't good, but he did not make them better either.

It's hard to win when your almost forced to call up your best prospects before they're ready.

    That team is a mess...

You gotta show SOME emotion as a manager. I mean, you can do the Joe Torre thing if you put up Joe Torre numbers, but Joe Torre Atca ain't.

Yeah... um... that might have something to do with the product on the field more so than the manager's "skill."

You'll notice Torre's record when he wasn't managing very talented teams like the Yanks and Dodgers: 894-1003. That's a scintillating .471 winning percentage.

Give Manny Acta a team with young talent like Jeter, Posada, Bernie, Pettitte, and Rivera, with veterans like Clemens, Cone, Wells, O'Neill, Tino, etc.... or give him a team with a young Loney, Martin, Kemp, Ethier, Billingsley, Kershaw, and Broxton, with veterans like Manny and Hudson, and I'm sure Acta will achieve far better results than he has with the Nationals.

Give Acta a team with Argenis Reyes and he won't be batting leadoff or second ever, I guarantee.

I don't care who manages the Nats, they'll still suck worse than a horny 30 year old hooker.

Thank you..... I like Torre , I think he is a very likable guy but everybody seems to forget that he was fired from how many jobs before he got his gig with the Yanks. The Dodgers weren't a playoff team last year without Manny. Most managers would succeed with the team Torre was given in New York and in LA.
