At least he putting his name to it. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/17/brandon-marshall-says-geno-smith-did-nothing-wrong/
Would like to bring this quote to the forefront: “I was sitting right there and I would say this without going into too many details because we’ve already moved past it: Geno smith did nothing wrong,” Marshall said on FOX TV Monday morning, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “He did nothing wrong. . . . And that’s all I’m going to say about that because we have to move forward and I don’t want to be a distraction to our team, but Geno Smith did everything the right way.”
marshall also has said Geno Smith a good QB for some reason. maybe Marshall has no real credibility and likes to stick up for his friends too much. Idk just a thought
this is fair and hard to dispute. although again, I can't imagine someone who spoke the other narrative putting his name to it. Of course you can put your name to saying "he did nothing wrong." He also seems to like Geno and wants him to be QB so his message should follow suit. Also to be fair, you've been fairly biased on this topic since it happened. I get you want Geno to play and to succeed. I think we all want him to succeed, but let's be objective on the matter.
We as fans need to let this go already. Can we all move on and focus on what's important? Geno will be back and that will be good for the depth in terms of the QB position. If he starts again, he starts - he clearly has something to prove.
I haven't been biased at all. In fact I even said in another thread if Geno did put his finger in IK face I don't blame him for punching him. Plus if he wants him to be the starting QB then Geno must have been the best QB in camp. IMO
I disagree unless you changed your tune after we stopped chatting in the other thread. It is pretty Obvious that Geno has maturity and decision making issues. I would not start him unless he wins over the locker room and there is an injury. 2 + yrs of watching Geno f up is enough. he needs to sit an learn if he has a chance into turning into anything in the NFL. 1 week of camp....two interceptions the day before his jaw was broken... Geno was on a short leash he is on a shorter leash now. What speaks volumes against this report is two things -no-one stepped in and Revis and the coach said it was both their faults. Sorry Brandon but if the team wanted to move on you shut up and and let this die. Also did we really need another thread when there is a thread about IK clocking Geno already and this is basically the same topic? That alone speaks volumes to what the original poster thinks
so 3 guys came out in support of Geno just today (Marshall, Breno, Decker)... lol was there a team meeting or a directive to start supporting Geno? either way, it is time they get behind him, or at least pretend to. he's a member of the team, and they just might need him all said and done. Hopefully Geno learns a little something from this set of circumstances.
I get it your a Geno hater so I'm not being biase because I'm speaking facts? All your doing is guessing that Geno not liked. So when somebody comes out and takes up for Geno with his name on it we should move on? As for Revis and Bolwes both of them said they wasn't in there so how would they know who was at fault? I guess sense you hate you believe people who wasn't there.
Or he just wants Geno to be the QB cause he has the arm to get Marshall downfield plays and Fitz doesn't? At least unlike all the other anonymous nonsense he did put a name to it. And would it shock anyone if the media ran with certain innuendo from people that just don't like Geno?
Didn't do anything wrong? He didn't pay IK the $600 and got knocked the fuck out. Sounds to me like he did a lot wrong.
Why didn't Geno say "Hey IK, here's the $600 and here's another $600 for your charity?" Either IK was a total jerk or Geno was. Ron
Love it, " no one is stepping up and supporting geno" *player steps up and supports geno* "oh that players full of shit" lol. Tgg never disappoints
That's why I love this forum, we eventually come around to the truth, but it takes a little dog and pony show first.
