So I was out with my friends last night in New Haven and saw a girl from my hometown. I'm not sure if she knew I was a Jets fan or just a football fan but almost immediately she introduced me to Willie. Really cool guy, down to earth for sure. We talked about Rex and the Jets; he said Rex makes you want to run through a wall for him when he gives his speeches on Saturday and that the Jets have not contacted him yet about resigning. Random but it was definitely cool, interesting to hear an insider's perspective on the Jets

Should have asked when Holmes and Sanchez are getting cut.

That's cool. Always wanted to meet a Jet and ask them about the team. Colon is a good leader and decent OG but I think we can upgrade at that position.

No, he doesn't. All these guys here say he's an idiot, wouldn't know an offense if it bit him on the ass, can't draft to save his own ass, can't select a decent staff, mismanages time and has no football sense. Who am I supposed to believe, a guy who is actually on the field with him or a bunch of guys who have been on a forum for years?

Pretty cool bro. Did he jump offsides while you were talking to him? hahaha. oh, was his 'torn bicep' in any kind of a brace?

Rex WOULD definitely know an offense if it bit him in the ass.

    Ours sure has enough times.

I can share a similar story when I met Cromartie last month at one of the Pro Bowl events. He pretty much said he'd run through a wall for Rex.

That's hilarious, but true actually. He builds his defense specifically to stop the offenses that have done him in (ie Peyton Manning, Pats, Saints, etc).

Interesting. It seems like many of the players use that analogy. LT did it a few years back. The players love Rex, for sure.

Funny how many players would run through wall but they can't get past a LB for a 1st down. bahahaha

shonne greene ran through several and always played with cracked ribs. he was a bulldozer he just wasnt effective as the number 1 but in the playoffs he played like a beast. he was always banged up but still suited up for game day. guy was a warrior regardless of whether he was very good or not

When running through walls wins us games that'll be great.

Until then moving the chains and not turning the ball over will be good enough...

I heard Cumberland interviewed on NFL Radio on the way home tonight. He said Rex is the kind of coach everyone wants to play for. He also said Geno made great improvement in all his skills near the end of the season and he's expecting a great season out of him. When asked he also gave props to Sanchez.

Work ethic, team player kind of stuff. It was very clear that in his mind Smith is the man, with Sanchez, it was getting pretty close to damning with faint praise.

LOL. Ah, the ever simplistic argument from the pessimistic standpoint. They are talking about being motivated, which matters in games. Unless you have an argument against that?
